i don't think anyone is doubting dave watson! i'm certainly questioning the article though. i refuse to believe that any club would rate him. i remember when liverpool signed him for something like £3m that it was bizarre to say the least as i'd never seen him have a decent game at boro! personally, i rate him as no higher than a league two keeper - that's how crap he is

Liverpool paying over the odds for a player ? Surely not Supers <laugh>

I would LOVE us to bring in a third choice keeper, willing to pick up wages as a contingency plan. Rudd and Steer are FAR too good for either of them to be third choice, and one of them will leave to get first team football if we don't give them the chance to take it on loan.

Let one out on loan (or one on a 3 mth loan, then the other out for rest of season when they return) and in 2-3 years time we will genuinely have the best set-of-3 goalkeepers in the country. If we play them right, between Rudd and Steer we can secure our own first choice goalkeeper from 2014-2020 from one and a massive transfer fee for the other. Play it badly and they will both leave Joe Lewis style.

Brad Jones for NCFC reserves would IMO be one of the best footballing decisions of all time!!!

first of all, if you're not joking i'm worried for your ability to spot a player! he would be a dreadful signing and complete waste of money. secondly, rudd and steer are both young and in absolutely no rush to leave this club to play regular football. yes a loan move for one of them this year would be good (probably rudd) but there is no need to try and get another keeper in. a 24 hour recall clause will mean we aren't short on numbers. if anything, the longer they hang around at our club the better as they are being coached by the england gk coach. i'm also confused by your assessment of joe lewis. i said at the time getting £400k for him was an absolutely great deal for us - he was massively overrated and his performances since he left have gone on to show that. he is not worth what posh paid for him and i'd go as far as to say that after buying wesley, selling lewis at that kind of fee was one of the few good things roeder did for the club.

In hindsight Supers getting us on the path to being relegated was one of the better things that Rodent (and Peter the Pointer and Gunn) did - it brought the club to it's senses and shocked us out of the mid-Championship mediocrity we were wallowing in.

Yes, it was painful at the time but, as I said at the time on the old 606 Board, getting relegated was the catalyst to a regenerative City and we haven't looked back since.

Also, brad Jones has only been linked to us in the daily fail and the sun! Theyve had to make some c**p up cause of the whole Liverpool can only loan until Rodgers sells.

NO NO NO and thrice more NO!
Rudd & Steer are more than capable of playing in the Premiership if anything should happen to Ruddy!
Lets not waste our hard earned money!!
