The stats make an argument, but they don't tell the full picture. The goals a team concedes are the result of several players, not just the goalkeeper. Would you solely blame Lloris for the five he shipped against us ?
I think Lloris is a decent keeper, but he's made a few flaps and hesitant decisions this season. Maybe it's a confidence thing, but I don't think he seems as assured as Friedel.
It's just my opinion, I'm a bit surprised at the reaction to be honest, but maybe that has more to do with Ghoddle and some previous regarding Lloris ?

You're right that stats don't tell you everything but the reaction is probably because everyone thinks you're wrong, very wrong. In my opinion it's similar to saying Rosicky's better than Cazorla and I think I'd get a similar reaction from Gooners if I said that on your board.
Piskie might have a point guys....having had nothing but **** goalkeepers lately to watch, they're bound to have sharpened his observations!
I think that it's a testament to Lloris that he's had virtually nothing to do in recent weeks.
He made a few minor errors in his first few games and there's been a few breakdowns in communication since, but he seems to give the back line a lot of extra composure.
He's happy to come for lots of crosses, sweeps up very comfortably and his distribution's excellent.
This discourages sides from hoofing balls over the top or hammering them into the box, as he'll take them and play them out quickly, allowing swifts breaks, which nobody wants to face from us.
I think that most Spurs fans that've watched him over the last few weeks will have been pretty impressed with him.
Once he's settled in completely with our defenders and everyone's on the same wavelength, I think that fans of other sides will be too.

Ha, yes SC, I know you and Ghoddle10 had a run in! and forgive me for enjoying aspects of your "debating", until Ghoddle10 over stepped the mark, but yes Friedel has been a fab keeper for us and am glad he's sticking around and is no doubt helping Lloris settle in.
Ghoddle10 was fine when he was acting mature, but unfortunately he had a tendency to lose the plot and act odd and then go off on one, but he used to make some good points.
I was responsible for getting him to remove his "ignore list" so maybe I'll think twice before I help someone try and re-engage with the forum ! lol
