Bruce was an atrocious manager, but I saw what went on and I don't think he did anything wrong other than defend himself and that lead to the situation worsening. He poked the snakes with a stick ..... the journalist Hope is a turd mate. Anyway he's gone I just don't think he's a bad person.
I agree about Hope, he just likes to stir up trouble for articles in his **** rag. His latest is saying Bruno and Tonali can't play together.

So, I have finally watched this interview. It's OK, I mean, he wasn't scathing about Newcastle nor the fans. He had a few pops and named Craig Hope specifically and probably wasn't wrong. Most the fans probably do think he did a mediocre job at a terrible time for the club and that's that. Bruce's problem is he is emotional, very emotional. He get's het up and angry when he reads bad press, he also get's extremely defensive and I think that's the reason he comes across as a bit of a dolt. Overall I would say he was a poor manager, but most of the Ashley managers were. Pardew overachieved.
Simon Jordan btw is a terrible ****ing interviewer. He probably allows his guests... 30 seconds to answer questions? Then he interrupts and answers the question himself. Never, ever, let's people finish. He's built his entire career around that at Talksport.
Agree with you here, I watched it myself and expected a car crash and it was alright. Like you say Jordan is a moron though. the one bit I did like was when he pulled Bryce on the job Howe has fine with the likes of miggy and Joelinton, where he never let him off the hook. the bollocks about Howe spending twice as much per point could be irradiated by the end of the season
I think Bruce was man enough to admit he never considered Joelinton could ever be a CM and that was his way of giving Howe some credit. Course he tried to then claim it was because he put Joe at LW... I also wasn't aware that Bruce had been offered the Newcastle job previously and we were idiotic enough to ask a manager to train his replacement
