That looks more like an offer that's worth considering. However, it's still up to whether Bruce wants Koren. Koren will still have painful memories of being played on the wing and having some of the worst games last Season under Pearson. Unless he's playing in his preferred position, you won't get the best out of him.
This is down to Bruce. If Bruce wants him to stay then the only way Koren will leave is to go up a league Bruce is happy with the money offered then I think there is legs in this I cant see us getting any other Hull player though
When we've achieved our ambitions of finishing in the top half of the PL every season I have no doubt we'd fill a 45k seater stadium.
Craig - I can see why you might think that way but from my perspective Pearson himself rarely says much at all on transfers and 99% is pure press speculation, sometimes mischevious at that ... by the time the press get onto 'real' stories the deals have been all but done ..
I dont think we have bid 500K. I think Sky have got their numbers muddled. I would bid 1.5M take it or leave it Because thats a very good offer and any more he would be worth it
That's more than he's worth. Reading have had a 750k bid in for some time and that's acceptable for an ageing midfielder than got 10 goals. I mean, how much would you take for King? Granted he had a poor last season, but he's got to be worth 3/4 times the amount just down to his age. In fact, if Nige can get King playing the way he used to then I don't see the need for a 'Koren' type player. We already have better quality, lets not tip these Hull fans over the edge.
I'm with AKCJ on this one - but it is dependent on a mixture of sensible pricing and also 'relative' success ... i.e the egg chasers get 24,000 sell outs and would get more if the capacity allowed - because they are very succesful - ... population wise Leicester is circa the 10th biggest city in the UK, plus we also pull from some pretty big towns within the county, Hinckley, Melton, Ashby, Loughborough Coalville etc and also a couple on the borders Nuneaton and Rugby and beyound Corby, Kettering ... the added advantage we have over are near neighbours (Derby, Forest and Cov) is that we are the sole team in our county in the established leagues ... ... but we also need to make it affordable for families, the working man etc .... that's why i would like to see standing areas re-introduced behind each goal ...
First part I think we are doing. The deals in the the Family stand are spot on. Second part won't happen to just Leicester. If it will happen again it'll be something that every club will adopt, I reckon.
When I looked at your post before logging in there was an automatic link on the words "Chester shortly". I opened it to reveal a huge picture of a pair of men's cycling PANTS - Isn't irony brilliant!
There not my words. They are words of a very reliable journo who is bang on 99 times out of 100 with us
"Brace yourselves gentlemen.." Is it just me, or does anyone else feel slightly uneasy as to how often, and in what context, IUTBJF may have used thiat particular phrase before???.
No, I think £500k is about right for an ageing Championship midfielder. I know we went a bit crazy with money under Sven, and the Hull fans are gutted they didn't get any, but now it's time to get back down to Earth.
Ummm, interesting. Percy is hardly cavalier with his comments - he's a respected journalist unlike most of the idiots on twitter. Maybe something in this after all?
Yes, but our local rivals Direby and Florest, although it pains me to say it, absolutely have a far better history than us; whereas, you were the ones saying you're a bigger club than us... in what way??
