We don't know what our away strip is going to be yet, Fossie. But we've got Star Trek uniforms as our first strip!! Make it so!
sorry, didnt read it properly- thought you meant in the championship when danny cadamarteri got a last minute equaliser- i was there at least!!
Which is sad making up fact to try and make you and yourself look good or being able to do a couple of clicks on a mouse to check obviously wrong facts
So the odd game? Obviously not every ticket was sold for every game. Our average attendance was 30983 for that season. That's including away support (commonly known that Fulham have shocking support, example, http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/101956-Fulham-s-away-support-at-Sunderland). I'd say we still probably had 27k Leicester fans in there. Not bad, not great, for a team fighting off Relegation with 1 win that calendar year?
I agree with you its just why be so adamant that it was sold out every week. Thats a good everage but after it was said that you sold 33k every home game it now seems poor. Its also a pet hate when people just spout stuff as fact when its just what they remember or think and not a fact at all
You're just being petty. After a 'couple of clicks' i have found out that your average attendance in your last season in the PL (i.e. relegation season, same as ours) you managed an average of 24,390. Your stadium holds 25,586 and not once did you fill it. (closest you came was Liverpool when you managed 25,030) So looking at percentages... Your average attendance was 95.32% of your total capacity. Ours was 96.03% of our total capacity. Jus' sayin'
The home end was sold out for every game Hull City played in the Premier League, only segregation and failure of the away fans to sell their allocation caused a shortfall. 90% of the home seats were sold as season tickets and the only reason it wasn't 100% was because you have to offer 10% of the home allocation as matchday tickets.
Think our stadium only holds 32,500, if you take out the corperate seats, it prob would be near a full house with 27k Leicester fans and away support.
To be fair, the Gillingham game I mentioned previously from which I was turned away due to a sell out, only had an attendance of 30,067. Just because a stadium is 32,500 doesn't mean every seat is available. Regarding the Fulham game, they'd not long been promoted, and it was arguably the least attractive fixture of the season. Not bad if you lowest attendance (and I assume it is, hence the reason you've used it) is 28,000!
Yeah but no offence, your stadium is smaller and this was our eighth year in the Prem. You sold out those two seasons because it was your first time ever in the Prem, and you also probably knew that it would be a long time before it happen again too.
It's obviously true that the ground is smaller, so easier to sell-out, but that wasn't really the point, I was just explaining that AKCJ was talking tosh. Thousands of season ticket applications were rejected, as there simply weren't enough seats available, in the Premier League we could easily sell-out a stadium with over 30,000 seats, which is exactly what the plan is(or at least it was until old man Allam fell out with the council).
How was I talking tosh? We have a 32k (with a 4.5k away) capacity stadium. Therefore average home crowd should be 27/28k. With our season ticket sales it means you couldn't get yourself a ticket if you wanted to buy one weeks in advance. We could fill more and you know it. I can't see a club of Hulls size ever getting more than 35k (the figure some of you are suggesting).
And as I said, you might get 30,000 when it's a novelty. But if you did spend any significant time in the Prem, which is doubtful in itself, then I'd guess that your average attendance would be 25-26k. And old man Allam seems to fall out with a lot of people. How is this good for your club?
You were talking tosh by claiming that we couldn't even sell out our ground in the Premier League, which simply wasn't the case. I didn't say anything at all about Leicester's support. I've never mentioned us getting more than 35,000 either, the plan was to increase capacity to 32,000 initially, which I'm confident we'd fill for most games in the Premier League.
Hmmmmmmmmm nicely worked AKCJ, with a little massaging around the away allocation point ... which, correct me if I'm wrong, is the maximum and not immeditely offered to all clubs (particularly when we know they have ****e away suport numbers wise) I'm not sure what this whole debate is proving to be honest ... I suspect that clubs like us, Hull, Norwich, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Forest, Derby, Leeds the Sheffield clubs, the Bristols (enjoyed writing that for some reason) possibly even Plymouth, Bradford and even Cov (couldn't resist) could sustain 30,000 plus attendances in the Prem if the stadia were big enough etc.... the imponderable (look it up Charlie) is where the maximum sustainable attendance figures would be ...
When we expand the stadium, you'll find out, until then you're just guessing, I might as well claim we could sell out 50,000, without the seats available it's impossible to know. As for Assem, I'm afraid I have no control over who he does or doesn't fall out with, just as you have no control over which politicians your owner bribes to get his duty free shops opened.
Serious question...do you actually have a job or career? or are you unemployed? you spend so much of your life posting on here..you cannot possibly fit a job in...just wondering....strovolos is the same...trawling every forum looking for arguments... its a bit sad..
