I see what you did there Strange use of the numbers by BR but whether you like "how he says things" or not (and I'd be amazed to hear a bitter say "yeah I love what he says he's a genius") he's exactly right about Suso and where his best position will be in future. I think he's basically reassuring the lad that a) he won't be playing him out of position forever and b) that there's still going to be opportunities for him to get into the team even if we sign a couple of forwards in Jan.
Although he says it in a strange / unfamiliar way I think we all know exactly what he means so whats the problem...? I'm happy that Rodgers' recognises Suso's best position but also sees that he is able to offer something to the team despite being 'out of position'
Unrelated to this article but Rodgers has also come out and said that Suarez is best suited to the central role. This would indicate that any new attackers are likely to be in the mould of Walcott/Sturridge than a Hunterlaar.
Seems likely. We wont be signing Huntelaar to sit on the bench. If we dont sign a top striker we will have to sign wide players who score because there's not many potential goal scorers in the team at the moment. Hopefully Sterling and Suso can add that to their games.
I am expecting new goal scoring wide forwards or 7.5's. I wouldnt be surprised to see a striker for the bench signed. But only for a lower fee. For some reason I'm feeling that Walcott and Sturridge will sign and make a selection of: ------------LS------------ --DS/FB----------TW/RS--
What if Brendan ask`s your number 11 to come inside, will that make him a !0.5 (almost a winger) or if your nomber 10 gets ahead of the number 9 will that make him a 9.5 (super striker) ?
Rodgers likes the goal keeper to be part of the passing play. So he can be 1.5. TBH these are just how he names the positions. How would you guys name them? Because they are not strictly wingers, and they are not strikers either.
