• At the top of the pile, finally @william5551 has begun to take a degree of control over what has been thus far a scrappy title race - where nobody has been able to stay top with much conviction. However, he will be wary considering that he was in a very similar position heading down the final straight last season before missing out at the death. His closest challengers have had fantastic top tier debut seasons but for either of @Rumney Bluebird & @bluescull to go onto win the title would be too much - surely?
• However, whoever wins this years title should be wary of The Curse of The Championship, as @irishbluebird is finding out. Whilst 5 points is not insurmountable, it would to be quite an escape. Although, not quite the set of results that would be needed for @Jay-RedeCCFC to survive the drop Of the bottom three, @Barry Tiger looks to stand the best chance - an upturn in form has seen BT rise from the bottom to put @taffthefish, @ninian opinion & @ccfcremotesupport top flight status under threat.
• The last time the 2nd tier outscored the top was City's last promotion season - and any of the top three in this years Div II would be walking away with the title in different circumstances. Until recently, it had been in a relative stroll in the park for @Sayer77 but @danablu & @whiffletree have matched him to leave an incredibly tight race for automatic promotion. Currently, @danablu leads by the slenderest margins but he will be all to aware of his abject record in the playoffs...
• Unusually for this time of the season, @Oldsparkey looks to be a solid bet for the Playoffs, as he has passed @FrankfurterBlue - who is heading in only one direction (big fan of a strong start and dismal finish Frankfurter ) Still hard to separate @Masky & @Dai Jones in the hunt for 6th...
