It's a real shame you didn't bring in Rafa sooner, you could have sent Sunderland down, and done us all a favour............
Well, that's really screwed up. Sunderland are sending you down tonight, and it does not feel worse? When we went in 2005, Pompey lost to WBA on purpose & then went on to brag about sending us down, when in fact they got Norwich. It makes a BIG difference, if you just don't give a ****, then fair play, but it does matter.
I genuinely don't care which result ends up sending us down. I do care a lot about which team is responsible for sending us down, and that is Newcastle. We carry the responsibility for going down ourselves because of how **** we were for most of the season. In normal circumstances I'd like to see all three north-east teams in the premier league. This year I would have liked Sunderland to go down, but only because that was what was needed to keep us up. It wouldn't hurt any less if it was Norwich that sent us down instead of the mackems.
Okay, but let me leave you with this little nugget. If they win tonight, they will be dining out on it for the next thirty odd years. A day shall not pass without a mackem reminding you that they relegated you. So, keep your ambivalence, by all means, but this is a cup final of bragging rights tonight, you better hope that Everton have an ounce of respect left.......or stay away from social media for a long long time.
I'm not that thin skinned. They have had the derby over us for the last 4 seasons and this year will have the league over us. It isn't the first time it has happened and no doubt won't be the last. They beat us in the play-offs to keep us in the old second division when we finished 3rd and they finished 6th. That hurt like hell too, but would have hurt just as much if it had been any other team that had done it. The end result was the same - another year in the second division.
