The Chairboys travel to Suffolk for a top of the table clash against the Tractor Boys for our first ever visit to Portman Road and the first ever meeting between the two teams its the Chairboys 8th game in November and 19th league game of the season and proudly sit top of the table on 39 points while the promotion favourites Tractor Boys sit second 5 points behind having played 2 games less. Gaz may need to shuffle the pack again but he will be playing his strongest 11 available and with over 2 weeks until our next game he will have to asses whether on not to risk Darius Charles it may be a risk worth taking but only Darius knows how his hip is. I won't be travelling to Suffolk but will be hoping the lads continue their good form and give it their all and return back home with a result
This looks like our bad spell coming up (we will have one at some time). Ipswich away Burton at home (not sure about this one) Then over Christmas, Oxford and Portsmouth away. Not pleasant reading If we get through these 4 games with 6 points I will be delighted, but I can't see it. 4 max I reckon
I would be but I'm being taken out tonight as it's my birthday. 3 points would be a great birthday present

Shame as he seems very good. We seem to be a lot weaker when we don't have him, Jacobson and Brooms. Brooms is amazing. I thought he wouldn't be up to L1 but he is proving key with his 110% effort for the first 50/60 mins. Do we have another workhorse like him? JJ is worth his weight in gold as every free kick and corner is a real threat when he's there to take them - class act. Sido is OK but I'm wondering if he may be a weak link in defence at this level. Don't know much about the newer ones. Grimmer, I thought was good but he was given the runaround away to Tranmere which is a bit worrying. What is the general view on our squad players? Are there any weak links and/or is there anyone we can't do without? We surely need Bayo for at least one half, I would have thought the second half but depends on their defence I suppose
#Chairboys XI: Allsop, Grimmer, Stewart, Charles, Jacobson, Gape, Thompson, Bloomfield, Wheeler, Smyth, Akinfenwa. Subs: Yates, Kashket, Phillips, Samuel, Freeman, Ofoborh, Aarons. #IPSvWYC
Happy birthday Ron and as a present there is a point away from home on a Tuesday night to Ipswich. Be honest you would all have taken that before kick off. Good result I think. Looked at the stats (no not the extra time one) and see there were 38 fouls in the game and 11 yellow cards. Bleddy hell what was that all about? Whistle happy Ref or a scruffy game of kick not the ball..
11 yellow cards & not one sending off sounds like a whistle happy ref, after the extra time against Tranmere & playing a day later than Doncaster, then Ipswich away 4pts would have been a fantastic points total. Shame about the penalty JJ does'nt get many saved or missed, now for a rest for the players to recharge the legs for Christmas slog
