You would think he'd smarten up. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/boyd-signing-may-2013-845153.aspx?
He wasn't in the previous Scotland manager's plans so he booked his stag do for after the Championship season ended and so it would have the minimum impact on his club who ever that may have been (Don't know when he booked it so he's thinking about P'boro, Forest, or us depending on the timing). The fact Strachan has since come in and he does figure in the international plans is unexpected for him so I don't think Strachan would expect him to drop it all for a friendly or two, it's not like he's a regular who decided to book it when there was an important game. He'll be back in the squad in September, Strachan rates him and it's not like Scotland can afford to leave out a PL player from their squad due to their abundance of talent.
That's what he was wearing the day I mentioned I saw him coming out of the East Stand offices and into his Peugeot 307. Thought he looked happy by the way he hugged the bloke in the suit he was with.
Exactly, and Stachan wanted to sign him when he was at Middlesboro. Scotland will want as many EPL experienced players they can get.
