To my mind it's more to do with what these teams are going to do to us.
It's in the current SPL rules that the share can be passed to a newco at their discretion. What the Gang of Ten are meeting about in the "fair play" farce is to decide how to change the rules to punish Rangers for them exercising that discretion. In other words punish us for what they want.
Now, we shat the nest and should take our lumps and my view is that a newco has no business being in the SPL. We should be booted and start from the 3rd Div.
However, changing the rules to punish us for them exercising an existing discretion is a little bit galling. If they want to keep us there, fine, exercise that discretion within the existing rules. Otherwise boot us to the 3rd.
Quite Gambol

They're making a special case of Rangers because of the size of the club - any other team reforming would be straight into the 3rd - no-one would bat an eyelid.
Allowing a newco team into the top division with penalties can surely be refused by the new Rangers - can it not? Are they forcing AFC Rangers of Govan to enter the SPL?
Quite how this equates to "putting the boot in" when every Rangers fan is calling for a CVA is properly galling.
Every other team in Scotland has to pay its dues - to suggest that Rangers should only pay as little as 1% of their dues while everyone else pays their way is pish.
Presumably Lee Wallace will remain a Rangers player when Rangers took him out of his Hearts contract without paying for it - this is not a sole example, either.
How the **** is that fair?
Considering Rangers board's behaviour in the administration of Dundee and Airdrie, other teams can be considered to be putting the boot in when they apply for interdicts to secure the funds Rangers owe them or take their players for extremely reduced terms while the iron is hot.
