Can’t complain about those scores, I never thought I’d say this but I would love to see a rematch. This was pure entertainment!
Close fight, and I enjoyed it. Okay with the cards, thought it might have been a round closer but okay with Eubank getting the nod. Obvs get the Benn craic, absolute cheat so **** him in that sense, but defo put on a show tonight as did Eubank. Money in the rematch if Eubank wants it, did I hear a potential canelo fight for him? Would have to be worth the money to take that.
The reaction to the fight has been very interesting: some fighting aficionados saying the fight was a damp squib and devoid of talent, fighting casuals (like myself) saying saying it was enjoyable and other aficionados saying yeah there wasn’t much talent but still very enjoyable.
Wasn't high class quality as neither of them are world level. But Eubank was by far the better man. Out landed him literally in ever round. More jabs more power punches, everything. Even after getting shafted by hearn the drug cheat Benn couldnt do ****.
Money will be massive but I don't think Eubank will take it up, the weight is a massive issue and I reckon hearn will advise Benn privately to get back down to 154 or even 147 for chance at belts. Eubank may end up getting the canelo fight if the Crawford fight doesn't get made.
Mouthwatering. Too many fights recently havent been a genuine match. Eubank Benn wasnt for me. I have not watched too many. This one though is genuinely elite level stuff. My early pick is Crawford, but I could easily change my mind as we get closer. Absolutely massive match up.
Canelo hasnt fought anyone since being beaten up by Bivol. Golovkin was done. Crawford is mean as a snake and he will make Canelo dig in. Interesting, but Canelo has the size. Crawford though is elite boxing talent like Canelo.
Canelo looks like father time has started to catch up with him. Was shocking at the weekend IMO. Lowest punch output ever for him. Agree re Crawford, a bad man with serious talent. Going to be very good. Will make a call when I see their camps and shape I think.
Times square boxing at the weekend was a bust too. Haney was garbage, literally ran all fight. Garcia looked weak and questionable after the peds ban. Teo looked the best IMO and will be matched interestly moving ahead.
