Eddie Hearn. "AJ wants to fight Usyk. It’s all business, money is important to them but Usyk wants a heavyweight world title. If we can’t make the Fury fight and AJ beats Pulev, he is fighting Usyk one million percent."

And Usyk becomes heavyweight champion.

You think so? It'll take some doing, he'll be 3 inches shorter, have 4 inches less in reach, will be probably 2 stone lighter and he has no real power. I'm a huge fan, but personally, I think he'll struggle. It'll be a really interesting fight though.

But it would be nice to see him do it.

I think he'll be able to comfortably outbox Joshua and nullify the size difference. Joshua will gas chasing Uysk. Joshua doesn't have the ability to stifle and smother his opponents. Fury on the other hand would be a nightmare for Usyk with the size difference.

But, he won't have the power of Klitschko, who couldn't ko Joshua, and I doubt he could cope with Joshua's power. So I would expect Joshua to be more aggressive than usual and take some risks. I reckon only a cut eye could swing it Usyk's way

Joshua's power isn't all its cracked up to be. As he's gone up in class his punch power has looked less effective. Usyk is a much more technically gifted boxer than Klitchsko so he'd be able to box and move and frustrate Joshua. He'd only need to move about for 6 rounds before Joshua gassed and the fight would get easier.

Interesting. I have never been a big fan of Joshua as I always saw him as being too pedestrian and seems a bit lost when he gets smothered. If he catches Usyk with one good punch that could be the end. If Usyk soaks it up then that will be a different story. I think we have to agree to disagree on this one though as I just can't see Usyk being up to it, based on his effort against Chisora

As mentioned before, Tank Davis is one hell of a fighter, but tends to let himself down quite a bit outside the ring. It seem that over night in South Baltimore, at about 1:53am, he may have run a red light and and caused a road accident and then buggered off. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured, though one person was taken to hospital.

Witnesses say Davis was at the wheel of the car that ran the light. Davis has refused to comment. The incident is under investigation.

"Big Bang" Zhang is a huge name in China, but few of us in the West know too much about the man. I've heard of him, as have probably other boxing fans on the forum, but I've never really looked into him.

He showed up on the undercard of the Haney - Gamboa fight on the weekend where he fought a journeyman named Devin Vargas who's career hasn't exactly set the world alight. The fight was expected to one sided, and it was.

Zhang has a multi fight deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom, where the ultimate goal is to stage a mega fight in China against someone of note. Hearn wants to capitalise on Zhang's massive following in his home country, to kick start big time boxing there. And of course, the money in China is huge. Zhang has earned an Olympic Silver medal as well. While he doesn't appear to have too big a chance against the champions, he seems to have enough power to unseat some of the second tier men out there. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the fireworks from the man known as "Big Bang" Zhang.

Kell Brook takes on Bud Crawford this Saturday in Vegas. I consider Crawford to be the number 1p1.

I like Kell a lot as he never ducks a challenge.
But Kell hasnt been in with a guy with Crawfords attributes before.

So I'm expecting a bit of a boxing lesson for Kell
I'm thinking an 8 or 9 round stoppage.

Doesn't look much cop to me Cyc. Very cumbersome, predictable and easy to hit

I'm hoping like crazy that Kell can do himself justice. He made the weight, looks brilliant and will have maybe more than a stone on Crawford in the ring. Crawford is a raging hot favourite, but it would be nice to see Brook do well.

I would love to see him do it. Huge Brook fan but I agree with DB above. Crawford No.1.

Some of the details of the purse bid for the WBO Junior Middleweight Title clash between the Champion Patrick Teixeira and Challenger Brian Castano.

* Golden Boy secured the rights with a bid of $427,000, topping TGB Promotions' $225,100. The proposed date, Feb. 6.

* The fight must take place within 90 days and no earlier than 45 days.

* Golden Boy must supply proof of Teixeira's immigration status. If he can't make the fight for any reason, including injury, the title will be vacated and Castano will fight the next best rated available fighter. Teixeira will be rated 1 and will fight the winner of Castano and X.

And how's this for bullshit? The WBC, WBA, IBF & the WBO have between them, 89 World Titles on offer. And there are only 17 divisions.

Money grubbing Arseholes.

Totally agree mate. Its a joke. One world title per organisation is what it should be. Non of this silver or diamond or interim or super champion ****e

Really don't know how this has been allowed to happen. It's just nonsense. I heard Tyson Fury on the radio on Thursday talking about a fight with Joshua, saying now is the right time as they are both world champions. How can you have 2 World champions?

I can't think of any other sport that has this.
