Like every other sport, boxing can full of hot air. Promoters going all out to convince punters to invest their hard earned on the next so called "super fight." Some such as the Ruiz - Joshua clash are the real deal, and rightly so, but some other promotions may turn out to be little more than the equivalent of a cheap salve from a snake oil salesman. Some potentially decent fights though can slip under the radar. One of those is a Light Heavyweight clash which will take place in Philadelphia tomorrow night. The clash is between the Russian IBF World Champion Artur Beterbiev and the Ukraine's WBC World Champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk. Both men are undefeated.

This bout brings together a hard punching, crude fighter in the shape of Beterbiev, the man with "fists of bricks," against the more elegant Gvozdyk, known as the "nail." Gvozdyk has the height and reach on the Beterbiev, but it'll probably be the latter who'll be on the front foot for most of the fight. He'll leave no stone unturned in his efforts to secure the win. I noticed in his last fight, there was a round where he must have tried 20 times to punch his opponent in the back of the head. Of course I'm not suggesting he did it on purpose, it could have been plenty of accidents. :)

I think Gvozdyk will probably get the win, but I'm with Beterbiev. There's something about his ring savagery I quite enjoy. It could be a really nice fight.

6-5. Beterbiev.
5-6. Gvozdyk.
Could turn out to be Usyk/Gassiev type fight. The more polished boxer dominating the thug.
But Gvozdyk is no Usyk and Beterbiev is better than Gassiev.

Beterbiev pound for pound Is the hardest puncher in the world in my opinion. But then again Gvozdyk can bang too.

What I love most about Beterbiev is that he is so animalistic to the degree that he chases his foes around the ring with the intention of brutally removing their heads from their shoulders. This aggression alone makes him an absolute nightmare for everyone.

Such a wonderful matchup, but I'm going for a crushing Beterbiev KO.
