Saunders was very quick to call out GGG, fair chance we might see him (GGG) fight in the UK again at some point be it against Saunders or Eubank. Did you go to the fight last week, I recall you on about it when it was announced?
No mate couldn't afford it in the end tickets my mate got were £220 and they went down for weigh aswell so was gonna run to around £600 or so for weekend and couldn't justify spending that much just to watch boxing with two young kids at home! I'm still undecided on Eubank, I'm waiting for him to fight someone decent and see how he does rather than hearing him just talk about how good he is. I'm a big fan of Saunders I think he's a bit underrated as a boxer he's technically very good in the ring. I'm chuffed he became a world champion, just not happy it was against Andy Lee, I love Andy Lee, tough honest fighter. My perspective of his first fight with Eubank was that he was just so far ahead that he eased way off in the second half of the fight to let Eubank back in (an opinion I now have with regards what Frampton did with Quigg after watching it a few times) hence the split decision. I know one could argue, Eubank showed his inexperience early on and when he found his grove he took it to Saunders who was tiring from a quick start. The second fight would certainly be more interesting with Eubank having gained experience and grown in confidence and might not look as bewildered this time and would probably take the fight to Saunders. I just feel that Eubank is very limited defensively and Saunders would be able to outbox him to a decision.
Yeah big dosh for a weekend that mate especially with wee people to look after! I find you nearly get a better viewing at home than there anyway, especially boxing where you can be that far away it's just 2 dots in a ring, especially if you've been on the beer all afternoon! You could be right, remember watching the first fight thinking similar to what you've just said. Saunders is what I'd call a top class domestic level fighter but Eubank showed in his performance against Nick Blackwell (who went the distance with Saunders) that he has improved a lot and potentially could be a class above. Put it this way if they were both 10/11 I'd definitely favour Eubank. Agree about defensive limitations in him, but think that's hugely common for many until they get more experienced and in with better opponents. I think Eubanks sparred very decent fighters too, I recall footage of him sparring Froch before he fought Groves the second time and Eubank didn't look that much out of his depth considering his inexperience back then.
I'm probably just picking holes so I can lean more towards Saunders, if Eubank has a chin even half as good as his old mans then he won't need much defence anyway! Paddy power have Saunders at 6/4 and Eubank at 4/7
Huge fight next weekend when WBA Lightweight Champion Anthony "Million Dollar" Crolla defends his title against Jorge Linares, a man stripped of his WBC belt because of inactivity. (Damaged hand) Crolla 8-13, Linares 7-4. Crolla is in the form of his life and Linares, a three weight champion, has power to burn. If form is anything to go by, Crolla will be in Linares face all night, and the latter will be bombing big time.
Crolla is a really interesting fighter. In his bouts against Perez and Barroso, he went at in a rather odd way. He's known as Million Dollar Crolla, but when it came to punch output, he was as tight as a fish's arse hole. In saying this, I'm not having a shot. It appeared to be strategy. He seemed to counter punch off the front foot. Really odd. Gloves to his face, elbows close, he moved in and jabbed from time to time, but mostly took a few shots before he landed something. As I watched his fights I kept thinking. "What the hell's he doing?" But it was amazing, as the rounds wore on, his opponents wore down. His fight against Barroso was amazing. Barroso bombed his way to a standstill and Crolla then finished him. Crolla is well taught and extremely patient, and when these are tied to a wonderful heart, he becomes a delight to watch. I definitely think it's going that way but I think it'll be worst thing to happen to the title. If he's stripped the belts will be seperated and we'll end up with multiply 'underserving' , champions. I don't think Klitschko would want them stripping he'll want to avenge (or at least try to) the defeat. If it's a genuine injury again they might give him a chance but if it looks like he's playing games then he'll likely be stripped

It's supposedly a mental illness affecting Tyson, the story being he's been determined unfit mentally. Really wish him all the best in his recovery if these rumours are founded. Hopefully he'll get the support he needs.
Quite right. The way his motivation goes up and down lends itself to that theory and it is only right that he takes time out if he isn't right- it's a dangerous sport at the best of times, never mind if you are struggling with something in the background. Didn't Oliver McCall rock up in the Lewis rematch and start crying around the ring?
