I think the fight might surprise and be great value for money but Khan will have to be perfect in this to get to the end.

His speed will be a huge asset against Canelo and if he is smart I can see him being ahead after 5 or 6 rounds, but if he still throws the same powder puff right left at no angles, eventually he's getting walked down.

I think the biggest reason for the dislike is that he's a complete ****, chats ****, and gets banged.

On a side note, De La Hoya v Hopkins is an interesting example of a speedy welter jumping up to middle. ODLH had some success but the size and power can begin to tell, as DLH found out when Hopkins dug in a body shot to end the fight in R9.

Khan will need some resistance and heart if punches do start to land as he slows later in the fight.

Having spoken to him in person I can confirm that he is as big of a cock as he comes across on tv. I'm all for boxers having confidence in themselves but Khan talks about himself like he's the second coming of Sugar Ray Robinson! And what has he done really?! look at his record and who he has fought. He won his world title from Kotelnik (who's that you ask?) well exactly some bum who's never been heard of since! He holds victories over washed up legends Marco Antonio Barrera and Zab Judah (head butt and low blow) where Khans weapons of choice for victory in those fights. Wiped out by Bredis Prescottt and refused to have a rematch. Beat Paulie Malinaggi, decent boxer never had the power and somewhat of a stepping stone for fighters coming through. Marcos Maidana, great fight and Khans defining fight, showed some heart nearly lost his head again but came through it and survived (again refused any rematch) Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia where two fights where you could argue Khan stepped up in class and was beaten both times. The way he conducted himself after the Peterson fight was a disgrace. His last two fights at welterweight Devon Alexander and Chris Algieri, not exactly two world class operators, Alexander quick with good technical boxing ability, no power, Khan and Olympian was always going to be able to out box him. Algieri a kick boxer by trade, limited boxing ability and no real power, should have been easy for Khan and it was for the most part but he was still nearly put to sleep in the 2nd round.

So for all Khan's talk he's not really achieved that much he's had carefully selected opponents since he moved up to welterweight and hasn't fight anyone with any power since Garcia wiped him out. Canelo has the power so can Khan run for 12 rounds and fight of the back foot, is so no because he lacks discipline and always has, so as soon as Canelo lands Khan will want to fight instead of holding, running, tying up, and that as usual will be his downfall (hopefully)!

Does Canelo throw a good left hook? That's usually the punch that Khan doesn't see coming. Have a watch of the Garcia fight for that.

Agree that he's delusional and that his only good win was over Maidana- and he boxed well away from the power shots until he started to tire and very nearly got knocked out late on- that's why at middleweight I think he'll struggle late on in this too.

I'm pretty sure it's his knob of a Dad who blows smoke up his arse all the time. He's the one who demanded Freddy Roach make Amir his no.1 fighter in front of Pacqaio <laugh> and the one you see having to get in all the photo shoots- he's interested in one thing.... $$$. And that's why we've had to listen to this cobblers about Mayweather 'running scared' and that Khans hand speed could cause him trouble. <laugh> I bet he was quaking.

Saturday will be intriguing whilst it last- and I would be the first to congratulate him if he lands a huge shock- but I think a Canelo stoppage late on is the way it might pan out.

<laugh> Harsh! They are boxers though, it's part if the game to talk crap now and again and I definitely think Khan's not as bad as he was! It's just part of the entertainment to hype up there fights ain't it? The build up to this fight has been comepletely devoid of trash talk from either, which is refreshing in a way but wouldn't we be bored numb if they were all like this?!

I'm just glad all boxers don't go on like Joshua with all his 'I'm a good boy/work hard/humble' fake PR crap he utters every time a mics near him....zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Can Crolla see off Barroso in his mandatory and first defence of his WBA Lightweight Title? I don't know too much about either fighter, but the fight is dividing opinion. A lot of locals think Crolla can win by points, but outsiders think the WBA No 1 will stop him. Betting on Oddschecker has the champion at 11-10 and the challenger Barroso slightly shorter at 28-29. The puncher maybe?

As much as I like Crolla I can only see this fight ending one way. Barroso by KO TKO or Disqualification @ 6/4 This bloke is a knockout expert and those odds are very generous

All in the name of sport. It's pretty stupid when we think about it. Maybe we haven't come as far as we think we have since we climbed down from the trees.

What an unbelievable performance. Soaked up everything and then systematically took him apart as he unraveled piece by piece.

Brilliant stuff and I hope he goes and earns himself a mega payday in the US now.

Right, let's get down to it.

Exactly the same Khan, lessons never learnt, still badly advised, still chinny.

Fast hands, not a fast mind. We can end the bollocks now about Mayweather. He's the most accurate puncher in the last 20 years and would have knocked Khan out.

Shah Khan needs to get the hell out of his sons career. What he did putting him in there tonight (he pitched the fight with Canelo) was dangerous and he doesn't need horrific knockouts like that. That's 3 times Khan has been badly beaten by KO.

They all follow the same pattern. Khan looks good with early fast combos, but he leaves himself open to huge KO punches that top fighters see coming. He is not intelligent enough for this level and I'd seriously think about hanging up the gloves. He just made £6m - now he's not able to call the shots after another loss and the only fight to make him any £££ is Brook at a UK Stadium. Problem is Brook wants to unify the division and Khan brings no belts.

Tough road back from here and a loss against Brook really would just about draw a line on a massively overhyped career. Will he ever risk that? We will see. He may have to settle for the smaller share in negotiations now.

I've never seen a fighter quite like him. Fast hands but still standing square on and getting knocked out or knocked down and never learning. ****ing crazy. I don't think he ever quite got out of amateur mode.

I'm a fair weather follower of the boxing so bear with me here, did I see a possible Mayweather/McGregor(UFC) boxing match being mentioned down the pipeline? Surely McGregor would have no hope and it's a mere money spinner!?

McGregor offered Mayweather it but i don't think it was seriously being considered, just McGregor mouthing off to promote himself, Rhonda Rousey did the same thing a while back, offering to box Mayweather.

Also considering the new rumour has come from The Sun I think it needs taking with a pinch of salt. They're alledging that Mayweather will get paid $144m and McGregor $10m

Cracking effort by Crolla last night, big fan of his and just keeps on improving and improving. Top lad aswell, genuinely has to be one of the nicest people in boxing. I thought like many it was a very risky fight to take for his first defence and was expecting him to be stopped in the middle rounds, am so happy i was wrong!

And in great news on the other side of the Atlantic, that over hyped, full of ****, bell end that is Amir Khan got wiped out, i must have watched the replay of the knockout at least 20 times! Khan will probably go chasing the Kell Brook fight now after dodging it for so many years, if i were Brook id tell him to go **** himself, make him get a title before giving him the shot
