According to The Telegraph, AJ will pocket 20 million pounds next weekend, while Povetkin takes home 6 million.
£20m FFS. Criminal isn't it. All because loads of people will pay fancy prices to watch 2 blokes trying to smash each other up. Just like footballers; the poor buggers in the past who did at least as well didn't have two halfpennies to rub together and ended up in the gutter
A.J. about 10s on. Povetkin 15-2. The latter is 39 for goodness sake. 4 inches shorter and 7 inches shorter in reach. This could be ugly.
The thing is Ron, even at 39 years of age, Povetkin can hit hard. And we've seen in the past that Joshua can be wobbled.
Povetkin will get through to Joshua just with the way he fights but if Joshua can't handle him quite comfortably tomorrow night then he might aswell give all his belts to Wilder now. Povetkin is tough but David bloody Price gave him a fight for **** sake. This should be an easy payday for Joshua.
If You guy's a struggling with a stream for this a lad at work recommends RIPPLE.IS/BOXING Try it with the football to see if it matches his expectations - if it works it works
Total sportek is another good one never had any issues with it and is where I usually watch the boxing
Just read that Michael Buffer gets £4m for his ring announcement tonight. He is worth $400m from his boxing voice intros and his phrase "Let's get ready to rumble."
Good win for AJ but he looked very average, though was very composed. Povetkin had bits of success but his 39yrs caught up with him, bit like Wlad v AJ. Still you have to beat what is in front of you.
I'm not sure what to believe about these heavyweights anymore, other than that Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have now without doubt, cemented themselves as the best two heavyweights in the game at the moment. But both seem pretty fragile too me. Each is easily stunned, but both are serious punchers. A.J. is the superior boxer and possesses the slightly better chin, while Deontay Wilder is the meanest puncher in the business, and is fairly weak around the whiskers. For all Wilder's faults though, he's harder to hit than Joshua. He's far more elusive. So who's going to land those early hammer fisted shots early on? Could Joshua withstand from Wilder, the number of hits he shipped from Povetkin? Right from the get go, Povetkin had no trouble tagging Joshua. On the other hand though, Wilder's chin appears to be much worse than Povetkins, so it's also possible that Joshua could dump Wilder on his arse in a round or two. I'd don't know which way it would go. Maybe Wilder's brute power does it for me .... well maybe not ... maybe. Aaaahhhh buggered if I know.
I agree they both have issues, mainly a lack of a decent defence but not sure how you can say Wilders chin is much worse. He's never been down as a professional and has only been really hurt by a serious puncher in Luis Ortiz, who I would argue is much better than anyone Joshua has fought (excluding Wlad). Joshua to me looks really vunerable. Yes he took a few decent shots last night but from a much smaller guy and he was wobbled a couple of times. Klitschko had him on his arse and in serious trouble and Dillian Whyte nearly took him out. I think he looks like he's quite a nervous fighter especially since the Klitschko fight so I wonder if he himself knows how vunerable his chin is. Let's just hope that at some point Wilder/Joshua can agree on a fight because it's the only fight worth seeing in what is a pretty weak division. It's a shame Daniel Dubois is a couple of years off been in the mix coz he could add some spice to the heavyweight scene. There's no way Frank Warren is taking any risks with him
