McGregor is managing the weight cuts fine atm. He wants to hold 2 belts he's not giving up his title when he goes lightweight 155 pounds. Mad **** <laugh>

Aldo is done? He's only beaten the top fighters recently, Mendez Faber Edgar, all comers.

McGregor said before this fight that he could see aldo's right hand twitching in the stare down, he said he thought he was waiting to unload that on him, that is exactly what panned out in the fight. McGregor called it before the fight. It's either hollywood or McGregor is the real deal <laugh>

It doesn't matter how big you are, you cant put muscle on your chin. There was no real power in McGegor's shot, it was flush on the chin, your brain shuts down for a sec when you get hit there. Perfect shot it was, like I said, 2 or 3" higher and Aldo was not going down.

No one elese in that division can hit like that and no one else could beat Aldo. Aldo is still No2 in that division by a country mile.

we will see. I agree on the division. theres **** all left in it for mcgregor and white to hype up. I think thats why you might see aldo v edgar again to prove aldo and build him up before a rematch but i think mcgregor has to move up and then the question becomes more about reach.

Mcgregor has been i think taller than everyone he's fought at feather weight. so speed and reach means he's been bale to kick ass. Has he fought a taller man in UFC?

the feather weights will be interesting. Do you drop mc gregor right in a title fight or make him fight a contender?

UFC and mcgregor need to maximise the hype and make the money now so whats biggest? a rematch IMO will not be a big hype. he's done aldo.

  9. Dillian Whyte wants a rematch with Anthony Joshua and says a shoulder injury prevented him winning by knockout before his own brutal stoppage at the O2.

The heavyweight rivals' personal dispute went the way of Joshua, who hurt Whyte with a blow to the temple before finishing him off with an uppercut in the seventh round to avenge an amateur defeat.

But the Olympic gold medallist had to come through the first big test of his professional career in the second when he was wobbled by a Whyte left hook.

And the Brixton man claims his "shoulder went" in the act of delivering that punch, so much so his corner suggested pulling him out at the end of the round.

Whyte says a shoulder injury hampered his chances against Joshua

In his first detailed interview since the Sky Sports Box Office main event, Whyte told Sky Sports News HQ: "I had him out on his feet, he was stumbling around. I hit him and he stiffened up, but at the same time I hit him my shoulder went so I couldn't really finish him off.

We ponder the questions that have arisen after Anthony Joshua knocked out Dillian Whyte

"But I'm not going to make any excuses. My trainer said 'do you want to stop the fight' and I said 'I'm not going to let these fans down, I'm going to be the true warrior I am and go out on my shield'. And that's what happened."

Eddie Hearn has suggested a British title defence against Dereck Chisoracould be the next step for Joshua, but Whyte fancies another crack - and he is convinced the result could be different given another chance.

Whyte was knocked out in the seventh round of the heavyweight contest

He said: "Let's get it on and definitely do it again. It was a good fight, we both drew a massive crowd. It's 1-1 - let's do it again and see who'll win the third fight.

"I believe I can beat him, and not only beat him, I believe I can knock him out. Everybody was giving me one round, two rounds, half a round. It was a 50-50 fight up until I got caught.

"I proved to everyone in Great Britain I'm just as good a fighter as him. We're both heavyweights, we both can bang. One of us was going to go to sleep, and unfortunately it was me, but that's heavyweight boxing."

Promoter Eddie Hearn says the fight between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte was one of the best heavyweight fights he has witnessed

The bad blood between the fighters threatened to take a nasty turn when Joshua caught Whyte after the bell at the end of the first round, prompting his opponent to react with a blow of his own and then a huge haymaker over referee Howard Foster's head.

The wild swing did not connect, and the fight was allowed to continue, but Whyte claims he would have been disqualified had he been guilty of Joshua's initial misdemeanour.

Anthony Joshua says Dillian Whyte will be remembered as the person who took him past three rounds, and admits he took pleasure from 'punishing' his opponent

"If I threw those punches after the bell, a million per cent I'd have been disqualified," he said. "I can bet my life on it, but I'm not going to make excuses.

"The referee didn't disqualify him, and I'm sure the referee made the right decision. I'm not going to say he should or shouldn't have been disqualified, I'll let the people decide what they think.

"But he's a dirty fighter - he's been doing that a lot lately, hitting people after the bell. I don't know whether he wants people to think he's more nasty than he is or whatever...he hit me after the bell and I went back after him. I'm not going to let anybody roll over me."

UFC dont mind people uploading their "fight" to youtube, all 13 secs like <laugh>

looks so different at full speed compared to slow mo replays. Aldo was stunned and finished in 3 secs

Aldo on the ground "is it over already" <laugh> The fall did more damage to Aldo than MeGregor <laugh>

Course it was but he was letting mcgregor get in a few half digs as well.

If it were a mess the guy would have picked up mcgregor and turned him upside down

  16. Anyone planning on watching McGregor tonight?

Just backed him to win in under 0.5 rounds (@5-1) and again for under 1.5 rounds (@10-11)
