2 bets today for me: Kempton 2.30pm Elixr Du Nutz 16/1 each way 4 places. Hopefully will be all the better for his disappointing run last time out after some time off the track. Kempton 3.05pm Cyrname 13/8 win. Going for the favourite in this. Has been aimed at the race since he beat Waiting Patiently by 17 lengths in last season's Ascot Chase. I think small field will help him dictate from the front. Last run beating Altior was top drawer and this is his 2nd run back since his wind op. Only slight worry is how much rain they get today but I think he will win and likely this is his gold cup. Good luck all...
Season greetings to all 1.25 Win Collooney has potential at this grade 3.35 Font Brandy Cross was 14/1 into 7/2 looked over priced originality think I will have an each way double! All the best to one and all
Best wishes and good luck to all! Four selections for what I always recall being a bookie’s benefit day. Leopardstown 1:45 Over the past 5 years Tony Martin’s record in the novice Hcap race reads 23211. All dual purpose horses with steady form over hurdles. The Breslin horse Nibiru has figures of 3331 in maiden hurdles and a flat win on soft ground. 20/1 looks big. 2:55 Paul Nolan has had a few winners of this race down through the years but the sweet spot is chasers rated 116-123 for which his record is 21122. Crazyheart has been kept over hurdles since May and a rating 118 with a 5lb claim is interesting at 18/1. 3:30 Over the past 3 years Joseph O’Brien has had a 1st and two 3rds in this race. Risk Factor is a half brother to O’Brien’s last two entrants in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. The dam won the Punchestown Champion bumper in 2005 for Jonjo. Bred for big days out and should be involved here at the finish before being chalked down for bigger prizes. 11/2. Market Rasen 2:50 Cilluirid 9/1 steps up in trip for the first time on his handicap debut. His family tree plus his second in a p2p at Kinsale suggest that this trip will show him in better light. Easterby’s debutant in this last year was flat bred and didn’t stay the trip. But his previous two Hcap debutants in 2017 and 2015 won at 6/1 and 7/1.

Echoes In Rain drifting, now 12/1 Two more: Leopardstown 12,10 Jungle Action 9/1 e/w Wincanton 15,45 Confirmation Bias 5/2
Merry Xmas everyone! a poor Boxing Day card at Kempton though. Slate house in the novices, Epatante in the hurdle and Lost in translation in the big one! (5 runners though - really ?)
Ch’tibello looks as good as anything else in the Christmas Hurdle - cracking value at a double figure price.
Quality over quantity sometimes. I agree with you in that I generally prefer bigger fields but there's some really competitive races on offer today.
