    Longshots for me today.

1:20 Awake At Midnight- staggered that he finished as close as he did last time and showed that he’s still handicapped to win. Return to faster conditions should be in his favour and the Chepstow win showed that he can run well in big fields.

Clan Des Obeaux in the King George. I am a big fan of this horse and I just don’t think we’ve seen him hit his true potential yet. He ran well in the Betfair and I think a bigger field and the way they race at Kempton will suit him perfectly. He should be doing good things work from the turn for home!

    3.40 Stowaway Magic

Ran a belter in the Coral Cup last year and is very big in the market against a field headed by Ballyandy!

Just having another look at the King George. Can’t be backing waiting patiently ,to many negatives for me. Conegree at hq last time at Cheltenham jumped like a stag down in trip could lead from start to finish and thistlecracks prep in the Betfair has to be admired, so a couple of old boys to rout them. In the novice chase I fancy the worlds end. Was impressed with Santini last time and bags groove is a horse I like. To be honest I’m torn I’m going with the selection.

Yes, decent price too but I like Pond Road. The one I am on today is Hugo’s Other Horse in the Wincanton bumper, proper pedigree!

  5. Morning everyone. Hope you all had a good day yesterday and nice to see Roto posting on here.

Just the one for me today. Black Mischief looks to have a decent chance in the 1.25 at Wincanton.

Just two bets on the King George for me today:

Might Bite 7/2 . Ground has come right and taking a chance he can put the last run behind him. I am expecting him to attack the fences and on this type of ground at this track I think he will be too strong for the rest of the field. I m not sure whether Waiting Patiently will appreciate the ground that seems to be drying out.

Also had an each way saver on Tea for Two at 50/1 4 places. I am expecting quite a big run from this fellow at his favourite track and second run after a wind op is usually best time to catch them.

    Good luck all..

Is Might Bite now a very backable price, or has a leg fallen off? Does Nicky know?

Have backed Politogue but considering a saver

After two stinkers last weekend, I think most folks will be looking to back against the Boxing Day tip that my mate texted me on Xmas Eve:

Huntingdon 2:15 – Second Time Around

It is making its chase debut in this two-and-a-half mile novices’ handicap off top weight but it does not look the most competitive affair. Feeling it could be turkey for a second day – but not cremated because Alexa forgot to switch off the oven like yesterday! <laugh>

Bad news for fans of Waiting Patiently at Kempton – in the pub last week my mate showed me his ante post ticket for that one...

Don't shot the messenger but my mate told me this morning that this particular race has been the target for a while for this horse. He has a couple from this yard but as we know they can lose too. However 2.10 Wetherby, CAPTAIN CHAOS @ 5/1.

A couple of each way bets for me and a couple of football bets.
1.20 Kempton Vivas & 3.05 Thistlecrack. Both teams to score and Burnley, Palace, Man U & Arsenal to win their matches. Good luck all. Have a great Boxing Day :emoticon-0167-beer:

an exciting race to kick off the card, where didtheyleaveuoutto and thomas darby renew rivaly, plus the progressive the big bite, but, for me,MR FISHER is very much the dark horse in the race.hard to evaluate his last run,but he was only beaten narrowly that day,and must be held in some regard to go in such a hot race so soon..

Two winners so far for you so well done. I suspect that with 11 cards for you to look at today that your selections are going to create around 8 pages on the daily thread alone, just take it steady it's much easier to lose than to win and I don't like to see anyone lose money.

I was tempted to stick some money on Glen Forsa prior, but it will now mean I won’t be winning a thing today.
