Pratley has struggled in recent weeks as well, not unexpectedly given his age. Today we had a left back playing in midfield, a right back playing at left back, and a central midfielder playing at centre half.
Remember Christian Dailly .... he was our PoTY one season and fine up to Christmas the next then..... his legs went and released at end of season...... perhaps we are not even going to get one season out of Watson?
That would be a pity because you can see what a clever player he has been, but Pratley is better at DM. Gunter Oshilaja Pearce Maatsen looks better balanced with Pratley in front.
Bowyer said after the match that both Famewo & Inniss are out for another 7/8 weeks If you look at the last 6 league goals we have conceded, they have all been soft & come from individual errors.
We can still put together a decent L1 back four in Gunter Deji Pearce Maatsen, and play them every game, no fiddling abahrt.
Can still see us making a push for promotion ...the level in this league is inferior to the last time we were in it two years ago ...as are we
“Players come in & players go out, that’s the way it goes” said Bowyer after the game yesterday. NO mate, identify your best starting 11 & start picking them every game. If you put 50 Charlton fans in a room together, how many would be able to select the same strongest team & formation ? Far too many square pegs in round holes again yesterday.,
