Time will tell of course and a lot depends on who they sign. They will both undoubtedly be favourites for relegation.
I think they'll be similar to Swansea, they will play a lot of teams off the park and they've got Russian money behind them to strengthen, they'll stay up...
Even if they struggle, I hope they bank a few quid to secure their future (collection buckets going round a few years ago, I recall). It makes our massive debt all the more embarrassing. Delighted for them. About four years ago, my brother said we should bring in Eddie Howe... He works for EasyJet - maybe he can usurp Tone.

Seems almost impossible we could get ourselves in so much debt, and have so many poor teams playing awful football, most of the time over the last four years. Last decent team was the one that got us up under Warnock, but to old for the premiership. Takes some doing to have that debt and a fine looming but being no further forward.
According to beeb text b'mouth started the 2008 season in league 2 on -17 points. That is some turnaround in 7 years. ....good luck to them.

Bournemouth's mystery Russian owner
So little is known of Bournemouth's mystery Russian billionaire owner, Maxim Demin, he could wander through the town centre and not be recognised.
He was introduced to the club by former chairman and owner Eddie Mitchell, who had been building Demin's house in Sandbanks. As time passed his influence grew, he became co-owner in 2011 and bought out Mitchell in 2013.

In 2012 Maxim Demin's wife made headlines after giving the Cherries a half-time team talk.
"Mr and Mrs Demin have put a lot of energy, a lot of time and a lot of hard work into this club that has got us from the brink to where we are now," Eddie Mitchell told BBC Sport in 2012.
"I'm not going to deny them the opportunity to speak to the players who they indirectly employ, and pay their wages. We are a family club, we believe in expressing our gratitude to everybody who has got a penny or a pound to spend on this club."
Demin is based in Switzerland and is said to have been too superstitious to attend game during their run-in this season. He has made his money in petrochemicals and transformed the club both on and off the pitch. He is yet to give an official interview but Krasner is in no doubt how big his influence has been.
"He's made the difference between Bournemouth being just another Championship club fighting for survival and now having Premier League status," he said. "The manager and the owner seem to work very well. If the owners and manager work well together you've got a much better chance of success."

In a QPR match-day program in February, Shaun intimated his desire to one day play in Major League Soccer and along with his brother. The 32-year-old winger is almost certainly to be looking for a new club after only featuring 13 times for the R’s in their promotion back to the Premier League.
“It’d be good to play with him again, but it’s not really up to us. If New York Red Bulls don’t want a player they aren’t going to get him whether it’s my brother or not,” he said.
Shaun has had more success in the past, representing England at the 2010 World Cup. The winger has also scored six times in 36 appearances in a Three Lions shirt. Bradley hasn’t had as much success until now, bouncing around the lower divisions in England before making the move stateside.
“Since he’s joined Red Bulls, that’s another team I have to follow closely and keep in close contact with. Brad’s not had the rub of the green with his career so I’m happy to see things working out for him in the States,” said Shaun back in February.

Pretty much a Cinderella story in the past 8 or so years.......if only we had gone about things in a similar fashion.

For the size of the town and surrounding area, they should get a lot more. Everyone I know from down there supports united, liverpool, arsenal, chelsea - with a smattering of Southampton. I always thought if they got their act together they could have a fair sized club ~25k, instead of 3k attendances.
