In a first spell in management at Middlesbrough he didn't win over the fans there and has said that, “My coaching team at Middlesbrough was very good, I was really happy with it. I just wish we’d added something, a bit more experience to it. The man that he has found is Joe Jordan, 69, arrives on the south coast with a wealth of experience from both his playing days, earning 50 caps for Scotland and featuring more than 100 times for both Leeds and Man Utd, to managing 450 matches throughout his career for the likes of Bristol City, Stoke and Hearts. Woodgate was left frustrated with his side's work in the final third against Cardiff on Wednesday, insisting: "It's impossible to break a team down like that." Cherries were beaten 2-1 at Vitality Stadium, with a Sean Morrison header and Kieffer Moore penalty doing the damage. Shane Long pulled a goal back in the second half, but it came in vain. "We need to get the ball wide, but we weren’t doing it. We were constantly trying to go through the middle of the team. It’s impossible to break a team down like that. "You’re looking for perfect goals. Get the ball wide and get it in the box, you’ve got two strikers in there." please log in to view this image By comparison Watford had a hard fought narrow win away to a Blackburn side that showed plenty of attacking ability, although they didn't look so solid in defence. Xisco Munoz has seen doubts expressed about his ability being new to the Championship, but his record so far is up there with the best in the division. Goals from João Pedro, Ismaïla Sarr and Ken Sema were good enough to win a game played in torrential rain on a pudding of a pitch. please log in to view this image Games between the two sides have often been close affairs with the game at Watford last October finishing as a 1-1 draw, Bournemouth getting an equalizer in injury time. ¡Ay caray! Think I'll have to get the strong café out for the 6:30am kick off. Will try to get my ass in gear to get it on the radio. I guess that is the only benefit of not being a 3pm kick off UK time. Another important game as we head into the business end of the season 14 games to go, nearly to the final striaght. Sat: Brentford v Stoke Swansea v Bristol City Sun: Wycombe Wanderers v Norwich Are the other fixtures from the top 4 that have an 8 point gap off 5th at the moment. It'd be ideal to win and put a bit more pressure on the top 3 before they play. COYH So good to have a bit of feel good factor back about the team, it´s been a long time.

I find most games against Bournemouth frustrating at best and utterly annoying at worst. There have been exceptions but I don't think this match will be one of them despite the latest form of both sides.

Matej played for Watford on that pitch. Only ruined by some gobby parent in the stands cheering him on.
