Any team which plays in a revolting kit like that deserves to lose.

A defeat that has been in the offing for weeks.

If Igor is now injured, I can see us dropping like an intern in the Bill Clinton White House.

We have twelve more matches to play before the January transfer window opens. Vetokele has an Achilles injury and he could be out for a while. Gudmundsson is also not 100 per cent fit. Church is out and Polish Pete, Reza, Pigott are out on loan. On Tuesday our front two could be Tucudean and Ahearne Grant, which is not good enough for Div 2 let alone the Championship. Not strengthening in the August transfer window was a big mistake. With RD not wanting to bring in any loan signings we are going to struggle. Without Vetokele where are the goals coming from?

The worst case scenario is that after the next twelve games we could be struggling down the bottom. Then what does RD do? I am not usually an alarmist or cup half empty, but I can see us slipping further down the table. What will help us is bringing in a couple of loans. One a big hold up Centre Forward, Danny Graham type. A central midfielder with a good engine who can chip in with a goal.

I've missed the last 3 games, but it appears the midfield is a problem area as well. Jacko subbed at h/t to prevent a red card, Buyens running out of steam, Moussa not particularly good, or Bulot, let's see if Bob moves Cousins inside. I'd like to see Munns on the bench Tuesday too.

I didn't think it was as bad as some made out. Their midfield was probably the best we've come up against all season. The tenacity of Arter and Surman was matched by the flair of Pugh and Ritchie. Some were quick to boast about JJ after Norwich, but I'd like to hear what they have to say after yesterday.

Aherne-grant I thought was impressive. The first time I've seen him, and he and Vetokele didn't stop moving, and even though both were guilty of a couple of offsides they give promise that we have a decent partnership their. Better than tucudean and church.

Wiggins had one of his better games. Constantly under pressure, he had a certain aggression yesterday that he would be best replicating in every game. He was clearly pumped for the occasion.

In more promising news, I won my 30/1 5 game Acca. That is making the journey back to London that bit more bearable <ok>
