As long as they were aware of it?? I must admit I was very surprised as was Harry Redknapp when Ben Shephard mentioned it.
I thought the only main ground requirements for PL stadia were that they were all seated?

We could. Fratton far more likely (this is pure speculation though).

I can't see anything here (page 130 of the handbook onwards) which says that there is a minimum stadium capacity: http://m.premierleague.com/content/...handbooks/premier-league-handbook-2014-15.pdf

Rules in relation to safety standards, accommodating the media etc exist (and I know for a fact that Bournemouth are aware of the need to spend to meet some of this criteria), but yes I can't see anything about stadium capacity - not that I've every sentence of every page, mind.

If stadium capacity isn't an issue they could share with Yeovil while their ground is being upgraded. Only 5,000 seats but better than going to SMS. Only 50 miles away from Bournemouth.

As I have already mentioned TWICE in this thread, Bournemouth DO HAVE AN EXPANSION PLAN to 18,000 seats.

As mentioned, I said that the article I linked didn't make it clear. But the Cherries fan who I know has said to me that the ground expansion IS planned to be done fairly quickly, and I suspect also into the season. It's a case of filling up the corners and making that 4th stand bigger.

What I'm saying is, is that I'm providing evidence of intent, not just wondering what they will do.

I think the fact that every other weekend their would be a load of Bournemouth idiots in the town centre would be more of a concern.

Could look on the bright side and say that you'd have a game at St Marys nearly every week.

So why don't b'mouth have some kind of plan? Couldn't they expand their ground and increase capacity or something?

It amazes me that Bournemouth don't have some plan in place to deal with this.
They've been near the top of the table all season. Why can't every club be as well run as Saints

I know, I think they should consider expanding the ground, surely they could get it up to 18k or so?

That sounds like a reasonable increase and they could do it by filing in the corners of the stadium.

That's a great idea, do you think we should tell them? Increasing the size of one of the stands might be possible too.

I definitely think they should think about a plan. Maybe put some more chairs in the stadium. Deckchairs would be nice, to suit their beach resort reputation. Its important they do this. After all the Premier League is better than the Championship. Its madness that they don't even want to play in the Premier League. Why don't they want to?!
