Hamer - 7 - Done what was needed before limping off. No real scares IMO, but handled a couple of shots well.
Solly - 9 - Dogged. Made a mistake at one point which could have been vital, but recovered well and didn't give them any joy.
    Morro - 8 - solid
    Taylor - 8 - solid
Wiggins - 7 - Started very shaky and got no joy in either defence or going forward. As the game went on and they came at us harder, he seemed to thrive and stepped up well.
Green - 6 - Didn't get many opportunities to get forward.
Stephens - 6 - Battled well, but didn't have enough time on the ball to have any attacking threat.
Hollands 6 - Same as Stephens
JJ - 7 - Not great going forward, but really helped Wiggins out when he was struggling. That was a captains performance.
BWP - 6 - Very quiet, but fed of scraps.
Kermo - 7 - usual Kermo.. battled well and put his body about. Got the winning goal which gives him an extra point.

Will add little descriptions when at work.

After the match on Saturday, I was walking back to my hotel when an agonising pain shot through my stomach and back. I collapsed. Blood was soaking through my shirt and jeans. I woke up an hour later in the local hospital, and on a saline-drip. I do not recall how I got there, but was told that a young lad called the ambulance and waited with me until I was taken away. I shall find my saviour and ensure that he has a few good nights out at my expense.
Apparently a grapefruit sized abscess in my belly burst at the moment I was walking up the hill. I had absolutely no idea it was there. Shocking.
I managed to get home late last night with no more than a small bandage and a headache where I clonked my head on the pavement.

Strangely, I heard yesterday about someone who suffered the same fate here in the Dominican Republic. But they died, whether because their condition was more severe or because of the primitive medical services here (probably a bit of both).

Sorry to hear of your experience. Sounds as if you will be o.k. so long as you get it checked from time to time. Be thankful you are living in King Alfred's land and not some disfunctional narco republic like I am for the time being.

Cheers, guys. I am feeling much better today and raring to go for tomorrow.

As a diabetic, I am more prone to infections of this sort; but I have never experienced anything like it before. The doctor said it could have been an infected hair follicle that was proliferated due to underlying conditions.
Thankfully, the tests carried out showed no damage to my liver, kidney and pancreatic functions.

Alfred was certainly looking down on me Saturday.

Hellfire Ponders - that sounds really nasty - couldn't be an extreme reaction to your treatment, could it?

Take it easy, see the Doc (no, not that one) and hope you're fighting fit again soon.

It is Sod's Law that I get poorly like this after such a tough fight against my ailments. I have lost a load of weight, cut down on the snouts, taken on all types of medication and introduced more physical activity to my daily life. Plus, I haven't touched a drop of booze in over two years!
In my youth I used to piss it up every night (twenty pints and a bottle of vodka), smoke forty a day, scuff-up all over the country, and eat more than a herd of elephants - yet, I was never ill. Blinkin' typical.

    Cheers, AllHell.

In a way, I am glad I was alone. Normally I take the kids to the football and it would have been a bit of a trauma to have seen me in such a state.

I am just thankful that some kind soul took care of me and left my belongings untouched. I am currently making enquiries as to the young man's indentity.

Anyone remember Charlton Choice TV from a couple seasons ago...? Well they made their comeback in our game against Bournemouth, here is a 23minute video! Includes the fans assessment of this seasons new players plus all the usual pre and post match banter amongst the fans.
