And Leeds keep the upper tier of their main stand closed!I'm staggered at how low some of the attendances are. Like you I think we will get 20000 gates regularly next season, especially if we make a good start.
Should be quite entertaining in an hour or two when we are all plastered and writing even more nonsense than usual!!!
We can forgive the other 89 mins, that 1 minute made the trip worth it. Just heard another fan shout out "the only thing massive about sheff weds is the gap between them and us now". Got a large laugh from all!! Any news on Hamer? Silly MOM.. Again. Tied with the rest of the defence really. Attackers never got going, midfield battled well enough but lack ed creativity. One of those games we had a month ago, important thing is the result though
Just heard the start of 606, I thought there'd at least be a mention of how far ahead we were, but it's all about the failure of the Sheffields, wouldn't you know it?
I never listen to 606 anymore, it's talksport for me now I even have it on in the car when going to and from work.
I know what you mean Tewkes, but TBH i quite like it that way, it seems that we have come under the radar all season, and now that we are so far ahead, we aren't good 'news' as everyone has us as winning the league anyway- we're almost boring news, as we just beat everyone. !
Understand Stu, but in the morning they have Alan Brazil & Ronnie Irani who are a good laugh, during the day it's Keys & Gray and driving home it's Gough & Durham - Adrian Durham makes you want to put your fist through the radio at times but I guess that's part of the show. Durham is such a piss take at times and most Arsenal fans hate him!
Just texted 606 to ask them why they're concentrating on the Sheffields rather than the magnificent achievements of CP and the squad and why they thought Megson's sacking was such a shock given that it was that well known beacon of morality Mandaric that did it? It may not be used...
I listen to Talk Sport most of the time but I can't stand Collymore and I don't much care for Irani. It was much better with Brazil and Mike Parry who was an intentional buffoon. Itw as hilarious. I used to like Alan Green on 606 but he's become a bit of a parody of himself.
Mike Parry is a neighbour of mine ! - well, he lives in the next block of flats to me. Seen him a couple of times on the Gosport ferry , but he didnt look very accommodating at the time !
Fantastic results all around today. Seven wins from our last twelve games should be enough to clinch the title. Nine to guarantee it. Promotion is all but guaranteed. I can finally let myself be happy for once.
Sheffield United are bricking it. We are regarded as "unstoppable". Nice. Worth a read. Could have been written about us in recent years. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=463&fid=221&sty=2&act=1&mid=2115210562
"A loss at this stage is no more than a disappointment." I can't believe I just read that. Thanks for posting, jimbob.
Just got back. That was pure daylight robbery. Bournemouth were the better side in a game of few chances, when Arter took his shot near the end I thought we'd had it, couldn't believe it when it rolled wide. If Bournemouth keep playing like that they should make the play-offs, their midfield at times outpassed us and they were first to every loose ball. Solly was magnificent as ever, Bournemouth had the ball a lot down their left but he repulsed them time and time again. Wiggins was less impressive, but the booing can't have helped. Dare I say it, Simon Francis had the better of him today. BWP had an off-day, he should have scored at the start of the second half. Kermorgant was his usual battling and intelligent self (Was it his goal? I have no idea who actually put it over the line, or indeed if it was actually over the line). Green struggled a bit too, his crossing was hit and miss and his defensive work still leaves a lot to be desired. But the feeling of that last minute winner will stay with me forever. I love you Chris Powell.
Cheers Captain for the report. Chimes exactly with what we heard on the radio where the commentator said something along the lines of "call the cops there's been a robbery" as we scored. This is the day the title was won. I'm convinced.
