Interesting to note that the team that won at Exeter were billed as Swansea City, but the team that lost tonight were described as being a Swansea X1.
Dai, if we have to rely on some of these players as back up then we are in big trouble. God some players were absolutely shocking, the lad up front spent more time on his arse than standing up.
Defiantly not, they were totally outclassed. Bournemouth were a decent side, but they were against poor opposition.
When we had injuries last season I thought it was because Laudrup's training sessions were not up to standard!
To be fair to the youngsters I recognise a lot of those Bournemouth players as 1st team players and they are a good Championship team, however... Tremmel, Rangel, Richards, Kingsley, Montero and Dyer are all (6) players that we would consider part of the 1st team squad (presently at least, if we sign a left-back Kingsley may be considered a development squad player). Also, why would Montero need minutes? He's been playing at the World Cup and is only likely to play with Dyer from tonight's attacking players. What purpose did it serve? Pre-season is not about results I agree, it's about 3 things; fitness, performance and developing understanding between new team mates... but Never was there and says the overall performance was poor. Also, that defence will never play together for us in a meaningful fixture and neither will that attack. Puzzling. Can anyone who was there post up the formation used and who played where? Who was playing centre-half alongside Tancock? Let's hope we see evidence of a team coming together against Reading.
Formation was our usual 4-5-1 / 4-3-3. Jazz played centre half, now he's never one a million years. The defence was all over then place, being dragged all over the park. At one Bournemouth attack we had three player all on the left side within 5 yards of each other with Rangel being the central defender. If the pass would have been better, then it would have been a one on one. Montero was decent like to attack his man and very quick, but he does look a bit greedy to me.

One thing's for sure - watching that it should be clear to anyone that if Fabianski is injured this season we're in big big trouble.
Why the **** was Jazz playing centre-half? ****ing idiocy. Rangel having a go at centre-half would have made more sense as he is taller and as his pace goes perhaps he could move to the centre (like Mark Delaney and Sam Ricketts did)...also as Rangel is our starting right-back it's possible, in a meaningful fixture, that if we have an injury (and have already used the subs) or a sending off it might be useful to have confidence in moving him there. Jazz at centre-half? There isn't one Jack that would have backed him to be successful there as he clearly is never going to be a centre-half. It hurts him (yet more messing about with his position!), hurts his confidence, we didn't learn a thing from the exercise. Un-****ing-believable really.
This match should've been called AFC Bournemouth v Swansea Under 21's, with celebrity guests Angel Rangel, Nathan Dyer and Montero. First time I've seen the swans in bloody ages because of my location, I pay good money for tickets after 10 hours on a coach from Nottingham, and what do I get? To watch the flipping youth team against a good Championship side while were sending a full team out against bloody Plymouth! Really frustrating and disappointing tonight, the club looked like utter tits sending that team out and I'm very disappointed in the management for letting down the fans. I know it was a friendly but a refund for all the travelling Swans wouldn't be out of order by any means, we showed zero respect to Bournemouth. The only bright side was that Dyer looked fit and Montero played well considering he was being supported by **** academy players in the midfield who will NEVER play for us in the league.
He went down in slow motion for their second didn't he? I feel Tremmel had one stand out season but ultimately is not good enough to be relied on at this level. Nice bloke though.
Just got in and in many ways it was poor. Style and tactics were non existent. Jazz was our best player! Dyer kept going backwards, Rangel caught out of position. Still who would have thought years ago, that a squad team with just three first teamers would give a top half Championship side a run for their money?
By the way don't be mistaken, Bournemouth are a very good team - I've seen enough of them to know. But tonight we sent out kids against them with a few first teamers and it was completely ridiculous.
Well what on earth do you expect? The real game is tomorrow, No worries it was just a run out for the kids....................
Was just a run out, we were disappointed when taking a day off, and expensive to watch kids. Son wanted to see some names come on in second half. Not sure what either team got from it. They are a decent team, nice location for the ground, nice stadium and I like the club. Highlight was the big Swansea man who won the cross bar challenge against the locals while wearing flip flops. I hope he enjoys his prize of Bournemouth v Brentford tickets. Good sport!
