I completely agree. I think we have the making of a good enough squad to stay up but have a manager that will struggle to get double figure points This is all on Russ, and to be fair none of us want to see him struggle or dislike him, but he needs putting out of his misery for his own sake.
once again, we don’t have a decent striker, haven’t replaced Ings yet and that saw us relegated and that is going to happen again this season
Can anyone tell me where this great team spirit that Martin has installed is? As said previously, easy to do when winning.
I wouldn't expect too much even if they do change the manager, but I'm fairly sure we could find someone who'd make us harder to beat.
Our squad isnot far off Ipswich or Leicester, and they are both holding their own in this league fine.
The stupid thing is that Bournemouth weren’t hurting us until we conceded a silly free kick and then everyone switched off. The second was unfortunate with the deflection but the buildup was too easy with Evanilson (?) having time to chest the ball down and pick out a pass to an unmarked player to run it to the box. The third was a good goal although it was down to us not being able to clear our lines again
I already hate myself for suggesting it - but David Moyes… Would set us up well and make us hard to beat. He becomes unstuck when a team is established in mid-table and wanting to push on which feels a million miles away for us right now
Reference the Downes and Lesley partnership I think Downes was too gung-ho in getting forward and Lesley wasn’t experienced enough to cover the gap
