An absolute beast.

For me, tripper as captain and Botman as vice captain and then when Tripps retires Botman to lead the team for the next 10 years.

He has the gravitas of a VVD or a Stam.

Best CB I’ve seen in our shirt since Woodgare.

and he will get better….

So with Botman the new Woodgate, Bruno being the new Gazza, please Lord let Isak be the new Shearer and we may be on a roll

I agree. And I predicted this well before anyone else. I even knew what colour boots he would wear.

Botman is going to be the real deal.

We've spent very well. Jury still out on Isak at the moment but I liked what I saw in the limited time he has been on the pitch...no shearer though!

One thing, it is critical that everyone at the club keeps the discipline when doing the right due diligence on incoming players. It would be easy to quickly go down a Everton / Forest route. Be smart about how money is spent and make sure you are getting the right characters slowly building the squad and the right mentality.

This is key :emoticon-0148-yes:
The Ronaldo quote in the bbc gossip page this morning was laughable

Slow but steady progress. Once he's fully acclimatised and benefitted from Super Eddie's training sessions he could be one of the best in the world. CB's generally peak at 27/28 so in 5 years time it's scary to think how good he can be!

Equally across the team the club really bought spectacularly well - Quality in players like Trippier and Targett but the spine of Pope, Botman, Bruno and Isak....
