Seriously? He had a bad game, is it that hard to admit, hopefully he'll come good but i'd rather campbell to start
No he didn't. I think you dismissed puncheon as "rubbish" after seeing him for 5 minutes as well? (came on 88th minute) All you're looking at are the moments in front of goal. "I saw him miss a few chances, therefore he must of played badly". It's an overly simplistic view. You need to look at his performance as a whole; the hold up play, the headers, the goal line clearance. He acted as a foil for the rest of the side, and did a good job of it!
People said the same about Hulse Let's settle for "He had a good game except in front of goal" and hope for more against Wolves
All fair points, but strickers are paid to score goals. One or two of his misses were awful. No slagging yet, but he has a job to do, and our survival will depend on how many goals we score. Jury is out until he starts putting the ball in the net for us on a regular basis
I can't quite believe what I'm reading on here tbh. Give the bloke a chance ffs!! Yes he should have scored but, he played very, very well. His hold up play was great and he won nearly every header he competed for. And as for some people comparing him to Hulse?!! Oh my God!!! Get some perspective people and look where we were with that performance compared to where we were a few weeks ago!! Good grief...I really wonder sometimes I really do!!
The point I was making with reference to Hulse is that Both was being damned with faint praise. Once he acclimatises to the Prem and sharpens up in front of goal, he'll be the real deal
