I got no gripe with Welbeck tonite , he was feeding on a whole lot of nothing .

Besides which , he has to miss about another 400 chances to be level with Giroud.

Welbeck needs a goal. But you're right, he works hard and creates the spaces for himself.

Aaron Ramsey has just come out and apologised for the performance tonight.

 

I don't care. It's not his fault so a meaningless apology.

 

He was as culpable as the rest, other than Wilshere. So the apology isn't meaningless.

The equivalent would be my students apologising for not passing their exams after I didn't bother to teach them for two years.

 

You're trying to over simplify it. The players on the pitch tonight were as culpable as the manager and the tactics. Ramsey's apology at least shows that he cares and knows we need to do better. It might not mean anything to you, but that doesn't make any difference to be honest. I'm glad he's come out and said that.

 

The apology that matters would be to put in some effort at Villa
