Would have taken the draw tonight, beforehand, so not too much to complain about. I didn't watch the game though, how was the performance?
Not a lot of creativity from our boys, but our defence got a bloody good work-out Chesney was great, Song was as superb at reclaiming the ball as he was at giving it away and I wish we had our offer for Gotze accepted in the Summer...
Really decent point away from home, against a side who threw everything at us. I thought there was a lot to be pleased about with this game tonight.
I saw a lot of heart and determination in that performance, its defiantly not as good a creative side as before, in fact it was the opposite from what we are used to. Before we were pretty creative but lacked desire and some players used to look like they didn't care, completely the opposite tonight tho, all in all a good result that we can build on.
They were allowed to throw it at us because we failed to keep them busy in their own half. GerVimto was off the pace tonight and with him on par, plus our Jack back, the return will be very different.
I thought we did really well, we were up against it and we coped well. The goal was unstoppable. Very nearly a good old 0-1 to the Arsenal
Totally agree with all of this. Our defence coped with the sustained pressure well. Think what would have happened last year...hardly bares thinking about!
Dortmund did a lot I'd like to see Arsenal do. They pressed high up the pitch, played with pace, but just lacked it in the final third. Defense looked good tonight. Apparently Pat Rice was doing a lot of shouting etc. - Dixon says Wenger sometimes keeps him quiet. I think he needs to shout way more. It definitely looks like the lads have been working hard on defense in training.
Can you elaborate on that? No offense, but comments like that just don't mean anything. What don't you like about the way he plays?
He is not sharp enough in the brain. This causes him to be forever caught out of position and so all too often exposing us to potentially having our back doors smashed in. I think he will come good, but currently is not as good as Clichy was during his bad times.
I don't want to run Gibbs down, but you have to admit that at the moment - he is kind of average. He does a job just about - but it remains to be seen if he can make LB his. Definitely keen to see what Santos can do in that position.
Very good result for us, we were the weaker team for most of the game but in the end were unlucky not to get 3 points. Special mention to Arteta for the header he went in for even though it was obvious that it would hurt.
