He was ****ing shocking defending it was like an open door down our right when he came on. Think it just shows people **** over the Man U player on their Cv and a kid off North Hull looks a far better prospect and cost **** all.
Bit harsh, he made a mistake that led to a chance but he put in a few good tackles and carried the ball forward well enough.
As a full back Weir is not one. I also saw him in a U23 game in midfield and the game passed him by, so for me the jury is out for the moment. Tymon IMO is a much better prospect, and defends better than Robertson also, though Robby is better going forward at the moment.
See sky are reporting that Rhodes has been told by Boro that he can go, if they get the right offer for him in January.
I think Bowen will know by now if he's starting. City tend to tell the young players days in advance so they can get used to the idea/settle/relax etc.
Fancy us to battle to a 1-0 win Should we be touting hernandez around and using the cash to give two more strikers to live out the hull city striker curse Would you trade hernandez for gestede and rhodes?
Not sure we would have enough. I reckon Boro will ask for £11m again. Be a good shout on loan, we still have two loan spots to fill.
What if Villa come in with a £15 million bid for Abel? Would you take it, buy Rhodes for £10 million and use the other £5 million to find another striker?
No, not really. I've not seen anything to convince me that Rhodes will be any better than Abel at this level, Boro certainly don't seem to think so. Hernandez might not be setting the league alight and with the right offer I'd be happy to cash in, but I wouldn't then go and splurge £10m on a striker who isn't getting into a team of a similar disposition to ours. A loan would be a better option, at least then if he really can't cut it we can send him back. I'd rather spend the money on Rodriguez.
Agreed, Rhodes on loan is a no brainer, even if its just to add bodies to the squad, but at £10 million + its a huge risk. If Villa offer silly money for Abel again I'd happily take it as long is it was invested in two decent strikers. I like Abel and rate him as a player but the money Villa were offering was too good to turn down, providing we re-invested it properly.
I honestly don't think 'Boro will loan him to a relegation rival. He'd probably go on loan to a Championship club challenging for promotion.
No, after my comment I bet they were rubbish weren't they? Still, they are 13th and only 5 points off the play offs. They seem to have made up a lot of ground on the teams above them.
