1-0 Town at half time then. Not a scintillating performance but we've been in control for most of the match. Boro haven't been much of a threat yet and at the moment, this is looking like a routine win for the lads.
Boro are toothless, the crowd are starting to moan in the stands and we've been in their half more often than they've been in ours. Boro look like an away side in the way they are letting us have the ball and we've been decent in attack but also had a few passes go astray. If the game plays out in a similar way in the second half, this is an easy win.
That’s now three wins on the bounce since the West Brom defeat. Keeps us seven points clear of Leeds, who travel to Sunderland on Tuesday night, and only one point off Leicester at the top of the table. The games will come thick and fast now, but we’ve got the momentum. Can’t believe how brilliantly this squad and coaching staff are doing. Full credit to the lads today, wasn’t a result I was expecting.
That'll do nicely, I predicted a 2-0 win and that is what we got. Not a great game but we controlled it for the most part and Boro looked fairly ordinary. Another three points in the bag, we keep marching on and ticking the games off on the way to hopefully, back to back promotions.
Hard to fault that performance today. They could have capitalised on a slip and if they had the outcome might have been different, but we controlled the game from start to finish and we keep getting stronger.
