Off Topic Boris resigns

Agree with this.

His departure is the right thing for the party, but also the right thing for the country more importantly.

Politics will be quite interesting again now with the leadership thing and news due soon on Starmer and Rayner and a potential fine (I expect no fine to materialise).
I'd personally favour either Truss or Sunak for the leadership.

Overall it may strengthen the tories if they pick the right person as the choice in 2 years at the ballot box will be either a new Tory leader (albeit it with the fallout from Boris hanging over them).... a Labour party still split into Pro Corbyn and Anti Corbyn and the third option is the Fib Dems and their 15 or so seats so its still sadly a 2 horse race.

Or ......... the 3rd and most realistic option, a Labour and SNP coalition <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Think Labour would have won if Boris stayed in charge.

No doubt the next one will get a popularity boost and then a new election will be called and then bada bing bada boom.

Tory master plan continues

Along with energy bill reductions, petrol back to £1.50 a litre etc etc

Usual fair.

Theyve got it to a science tbh. They were plotting for years during Blairs reign. They openly talk about how Cameron nd them changed the party strategy in the shadows to gain and hold power.
