Another loan is no good at all, he will be off if he scores 15+ goals for us this season, will do very well though.
Badly handled by Gus and Borinis advisors last year. I can understand he wanted to succeed at LFC but his advisors should have told him it was not going to happen. If he comes, he is one of us again. Still remember that goal at Wembley and 45 minutes of ecstasy
LFC do not want a loan, SAFC have to decide whether they want him to sign permanently. This is the added complication. Not sure whether he was happy with one year loan but now a permanent move is on. Just buy him FFS!
If he scores 10+ goals for us this season I'll be delighted! On loan or not! OK we'll have to replace him next season but may have a chance as he'll be moving into his last year! If Barca and Real Madrid miss the trick to sign him next season we should be in with a chance....

I'd spend £4-5m on him as he's in his last year of his contract.
Stick a minimum release clause in the contract and if he end up being as good as he thinks he is (which he won't) sell him for that much.
Contract is till 2017 mate! (looked it up jujst before when I posted my last comment) - but I'd pay the same - a player with little to no first team action in over 12 months is worth around £4-5m max - wages might be the issue!
If he was to score 15+ for us this season then he can leave with my blessing and also invite him to kick me in the bollocks if he wanted to. Of course he wont though......score 15+ or kick me in the bollocks. Even if we get Borini he is still not a target man/goalscorer, we need someone up front for the ball to stick to and hold it up.
I wouldn't be impressed if we paid more than 6 million for this lad and offered him anything above 40k p/w in wages. He's not a special player, he's not a next level signing we are hoping for.
Would be a good signing, lets face it we don't have many other players desperate to join us. I hate the way it was handled last year. Borini, Lens, Defoe, and Jan. Decent front 4 IMO.

We don't have bottomless pockets like Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona.
What we spend on one player impacts on what we can pay for wages, other transfers, loans, how we can approach outgoing players.
It all has a knock on effect and is why we are in the posiont we are in now.
Thats a massive shame but if we got Borini plus 1 other player of quality I would not be unhappy.
We have to realise where we are, until we get another mid table finish quality players are not going to want to come here and what we need is quality.
Totally agree Vegas. And that probably feeds the argument used by many that we need to pay over the odds to attract the sort of quality player we need.
We can't sign the quality player because of our league position to get to a better league position to be able more easily to attract the quality player.
