Signing players 0.2% better than what we have achieves nowt, and Gomez can take pens.

He can **** off not remotely do I see a point in us pursuing him.

If we are going to sign a failed Liverpool striker, I would rather have Lambert. So a no from me as well.

Ah I get you. With threads like this it's hard to tell who's serious and who's not.

That's my sentiments exactly on options like Curtis Davies, Jalavic and resigning of old codgers like Brown and Rev. Squad places are precious, we can't keep clogging it up with players who either past it or outright ****. It just going round in circles year on year.

I don't take it personally that he didn't sign for us last year. He wanted to try to force his way into champs league playing Liverpool's team. He's a professional, don't blame him.

I do think he's better than what we have and significantly so, namely Wickham. He adds pace which is desperately needed.

Having said all that, I wouldn't go near the fee we reportedly agreed for him a year ago. Half that and it'd be a yes from me.

I would take a punt on him if the price was right.

If you look at Borini's transfer history he's been nothing but trouble.

I'd rather have Bent back than him .......... or would I <doh>

No for me. The lad where ever he goes must now be stepping down to a lesser club and taking a pay cut.

He played his guts out when he was here. Can't fault his commitment when he was here.

Frankly he made a mistake in the summer staying at Loverpool. He could have had an eye catching season with us. He was given plenty of hints. Liverpool must be pissed as his value must now be half.

Good player, but we offered silly money at the time and he said no. Can't see this being a good fit now. To much water under the old bridge...

My guess is that he always lowers his market value so his 'signing on fee' is greater.

He seems to have zero ambition but a top class accountant ..........sad but true imo.

Different season, different market, different circumstances.

Why would he even be on the radar?

No. Not worth a second glance..

No. Take away his penalties and what does he give you. Not a good finisher and wasteful on the ball. We already have Wickham for that.

Why would Liverpool sell him anyway, he's their best (non-crock) striker <laugh>
