I have no objection to Borini as a Liverpool fan... he works bloody hard, just isn't going to fit in our squad.

Rodgers appears to have Sturridge, Balotelli, and Lambert ahead of him- so he's not going to get game here- he might as well join you. (not sure Lambert deserves to be ahead of Borini, but he is).

If summer training is anything to go by, even our youngster, Peterson, is ahead of Borini in the pecking order. Rodgers doesn't want him... No idea why Borini won't just go.

I`ve said for ages I thought the stumbling block was his agent and my opinion hasn`t changed.

Is his agents arse now dropping out?

I still want him here but it's obvious he's been waiting for a better offer and that does taint things a bit. Still if he scores the winners against our cousins from the dark side all will be forgiven.

It would seem so, not seen anybody else table a £14m bid mate have we

Interesting from gus

Asked if the club would set a deadline for signing Borini, Poyet said: "I have asked myself many, many times. I don't know, to be honest, I don't know if we need to put a date on it or not. I don't know.

"It's a daily thing. If something incredible comes in and we need to make a decision then, a player that we cannot say no to, then I am sure there will be a few phone calls saying 'now or never' both ways

Sounds like the plug has been pulled to me

I'd say it's a possibility myself, unless of course there's some definitive proof I've missed?

You'll forgive him if he scores against the Mags? I see, kangaroo court is in session. I knew it was a matter of time before grudges were formed.

If the plug has been pulled -

a) Borini will be pissed off with his agent.
b) The club will be pissed off as they are £14m down and still have a wage to pay.
c) The fans will be pissed as per the above.
d) The agent will cop the lot.

I quite like the sound of that.

Think this could be a masterstroke of gamesmanship. Liverpool are now in a position where there need to get rid or pay an extra wage all year for a player they know they don't need. We have allegedly now removed a 14 million pound sweetener for basically removing their unwanted staff. As this has rolled on I have come round to the idea of a loan as if he flops we haven't shot our financial wadds I think all this has played nicely into our hands as now if we get him I doubt it will be for 14m.

coach Gus Poyet has admitted he is losing patience in his bid to sign Fabio Borini on a permanent deal. The Liverpool striker enjoyed a successful spell on loan at the Stadium of Light last season and has been top of Poyet's list of transfer targets over the summer. Meanwhile, Borini’s agent has insisted that Sunderland’s bid of around 18million euros is still on the table, and could still be accepted r

Didn`t the club say that offer had already been accepted?

Beginning to wonder if the agent`s dropped a clanger.

**** me not going to read this lot. :p

Anybody like me couldn't give two ****s about Borini now?
If the twat doesn't want to come here and wants to stay at Liverpool **** him.

He is a 6 million quid player tops.
The dippers want daft money for him even though they don't want him.
We are making ourselves look a bit wet chasing a player that doesn't want to sign on for us.

Time to look elsewhere there are better players out there for less than his asking price.

I doubt all of those things will happen Grandpops. There's definitely a game of chicken being played out, but one thing is for sure and that's Borini won't be at Liverpool on September 2nd.

Liverpool will get their money (maybe not all of it), his wages off their bill and he'll be playing elsewhere.

Whether he's with us or not, well that's the $64,000 question.

I know mate It`s just that after all the messing about we`ve had, I`m just enjoying thinking about it panning out that way. <devil>
