I am also of the opinion if he is not sure he can **** off and we will look elsewhere

I think that's just made up, the source was same ****er who said Mannone wanted to walk out.

In fact Borini's lass tweeted about three weeks ago that their tenancy at their Sunderland pad was up and they were homeless as they didn't know where they'll be. That in itself tells me more than that italian journo with the grudge that Di Fanti has sacked. It tells me that they didn't know where their future lied and they're prepared to move wherever they need too. It didn't tell me they were off to Mersey View riverside apartment in Liverpool. They've been waiting in limbo. I think they've known there was a good chance Liverpool would sell.

I know the market prices are high at the moment but if we are going to pay upto £14m for someone I want him fully focused and want to come here not wondering where he could have gone

I think it would be fair for Borini to question/ponder his next move, if he comes here we'll want to give him a long-term contract, he will need to be sure we're moving forward, he wouldn't want to spend the next 4/5 years of his career fighting relegation

But what are you basing it on fella that he may not be fully focused if you don't mind me asking? The bloke has been nothing but professional, he's under contract at Liverpool and stated his desire to do his best for that club, that's brilliant. It's what's been happening Giacc and we love him for it. I agree we don't went people who don't want to be here but to suspect that Borini is one of them I think is very unfair. He's been nothing but professional.

Very fair. It's his right. If he's worried he might outgrow us which is entirely possible, he can be reassured by Gyan, Hendo and Mig that we never stand in the way of a player who wants to leave, the latter two proves a player can get it without being a **** about it :p. We're a reasonable club.

Gus -

What I can say is that we have agreed (a deal) with Liverpool, we are waiting for correspondence and then we move on from there.

It's clear the impact Fabio had last season and we are going to spend that amount of money on a player that we know how much he can give us. He would be perfect for us.

It's an ongoing thing. We have done the steps that we needed to do properly, and now we are waiting. We want to do things the right way.

Can't see him ever scoring more than about 10-12 goals in a season... he'll be a good buy for you but at that price we're laughing.

As we were with Mignolet and Henderson then......

The only caveat is that you should not believe everything you read in the press you know.

Have you seen the players who scored over 10 league goals last season fella? Look at their value very few worth less than 15m in today's market. Anything over ten a season will make it a good buy at that price.

If you're on about 10 to 12 goals in all competitions we won't need to worry about paying the full 14m do we? He needs to perform to bring that top end in. At 8.9m up front I'm happy, If he performs then he's more than worth the extra.

Reports from Merseyside suggest Borini will NOT be on plane that leaves for pre-season tour this afternoon. Clearly, good news for #SAFC
