****!! @SAFCsource Brendan Rodgers is willing to throw Fabio Borini into any deal with Southampton for Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana. http://bit.ly/1ph3Pf6 Liverpool believe Lambert, Lallana and Lovren WILL face Southampton at Anfield on opening day Brendan Rodgers is willing to hand Fabio Borini to the Saints to push through double deal for the England midfielder and Croatia defender mirror.co.uk
Not really that bad a thing. I would like Borini here but if he goes elsewhere then so be it. Move on to the next one - a lot of people copmplain that we don't know what's happening with transfers with our club - and I think that's just the club keeping cards close to the chest which, IMO, is a good thing. This one also isn't over
I agree there Marcus, like the Alonso thing, no need to declare keen interest and help drive prices up.
I think what we have to remember is that Borini wasn't even on the radar last year, wasting time in Liverpool reserves. Is he really worth that amount, or is he just flavour of the month? Im sure if you trawl through the reserves of a lot of the big teams in Europe more 'good' players can be unearthed for fractions of this money. I like to think Gus is playing the markets better than managers of the past and he will slowly add the right people at the right time. Still quite some time to go but I must admit if it gets to August without any movements ill be pushing for Borini like purchases but at the moment I feel quite safe in Gus's hands
Brendan Rodgers is set to cash in on striker Fabio Borini this summer to finance a double deal for Southampton pair Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren. Borini spent last season on loan at Sunderland, and recently stated his intent to make a mark at Anfield on his return. However, Rodgers is set to rule out a Merseyside stay for the Italian after deciding to move on the £10.5m man.
