    Don't understand the Carroll thing, would have thought he would be the lone front man.
    I'm a Swans fan so don't know your team intimately but I would have expected your team to look like;

    ---------------Reina----------------
    -------Skrtel------Agger-----------
    Johnson------------------Enrique-
    --------Gerrard---???????---------
    Suarez-------???????-----????????
    ---------------Carroll---------------

    Sending Carroll out seems like a waste of resources. Also Bellamy being linked with a move!!! Surely you need to keep him as he covers so many forward positions?? The ideal substitute.

    IMO Borini is a good signing as he covers Centre Forward and the 3 positions behind.
    I would be expecting first class signings for AM, LW and Either centre mid (not sure if this is a problem position for you or not? You seem to have lots of personnel there) or CF...A genuine CF like Carroll and let the 2 of them duke it out.

    If I was Brendan I'd be looking to offload several in midfield, not Carroll.

    Missing out my favourite player in Lucas there!

    If Brenden wants to play full out tika taka style football like Barcelona or Spain, I would imagine he would use Suarez in the Messi role upfront and drifts how he wants.

    I would say that there are better alternatives than Clint Dempsey, but to say that Dempsey wouldn't add any quality to our team is daft. We were criticised throughout the season not just for not scoring enough goals, but for not even getting enough players into the opposing penalty area. Dempsey would be a near ever present in the opposing area, and would be similar to (and probably better than) Maxi rodriguez in making clever runs off the ball and being in the right place at the right time.

    All good but Dempsey scored less goals/minutes last season than Maxi, so why not just keep Maxi!!!
