I know but reading that sounded like superman or something. He's a good player and suits the way we played, not quite sure how he will fare with your style of play.
a striker is a striker and if the world and their mother can see the issue than its at least gratifying that rodgers can too.... however the job aint done and talking about not having money is uninspiring
He did OK for us in the Championship - but that is all. I would have reservations about having him back in the Premiership. As for him signing for Liverpool, sorry to disappoint you but you have better players there already.
If Borini is supposed to be the 'exciting signing' Rogers was eluding to then I'm sorry to dissapoint but I am not excited by this. This is not to say I question the players talent or potential rather I know almost nothing about him, I had heard of him before all this but that was it. Its difficult to be excited by a player who is so unkown, underwhelmed is the expression I'd use
This 'exicited' chat, is apparently what he said to Ben Smith, not in the actual interview. What he actually said is that we may sign two players this week, and will look to sign about four in total. If you are not excited by that, well, what can you say?
An absolute explosion of debate because of one word our manager said!! I know not a lot has been going on but talk about OTT! What was he really going to say? 'Yeah looks like we may sign a player or 2 this week. No one special though, fans will probably be livid'
Should be a decent back up striker, not ready to come straight in the team but good young player. Hopefully give us a third quality striker to backup Suarez and Carroll and play in the Europa league and carling cup games. Dont see how this could be the signing that according to the manager would get the fans excited though.
I agree that we wouldn't be that word about him but he could start in a front 3 as he is happy in a behind the striker role. Borini----Carroll----Suarez He would also give options as both Borini and Suarez can play as the main striker
I think Suarez & Borini would link up better than Suarez & Carroll. I like Borini as a player, plays on the shoulder & is a genuine goal threat, for the rumoured 7m i´d be more than happy considering Andy Carroll is our only striker. I think he complements our squad well.
Carroll obviously isn't part of BR's plans and the fact that he's prepared to loan him out points to us deffo signing Borini and/or another striker. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18778825
