Shows a complete lack of self-respect imv, unless we've just a bob to two him off their hands. I'd still make him train with the reserves!

 

I did say in the summer that Borini would be in a sticky situation come Jan. He has done nothing in the first half of the season and his stock has fallen.

Could work out nicely for us. Cheaper fee and cheaper wages. Everything else aside he would improve our squad.

But our priority must be a defender.

This. I didn't rate him very highly when he was here and was horrified with the amount we offered to pay. We could get two of him from outside England for that amount.

Then he pissed around for about six weeks leaving us lacking up top (Gus and Lee also to take the blame there).

 

From what I have heard from my mate in the ticket office, the only people who were chasing Borini for SAFC were the papers. Poyet and Congerton moved on long before the media said they had apparently. Gus was disappointed not to get defenders in more than the Borini thing.

If he signs now he'll have to be maximum of £5m. If I was Congerton I would give him and Liverpool a take it or leave it offer of that much. And for £5m I'd be happy
