My word, I don't remember the close season ever being this boring!?

We don't even seem to be linked with players, let alone a sniff of actually signing anyone <yikes>

Just an exciting (and remotely believable...) rumour would be nice...
 
I havent seen 1 rumour yet in or out other then Jermaine Beckford that I find even remotely believable.

I think the only person we know if on Nigel's wanted list is Michael Keane. The rest we dont have a clue

But im not too worried, Nigel pulled Anthony Knockaert out of nowhere at the last minute last season. He pulled Aleksandar Tunchev out of nowhere a few years ago

Both of them cost peanuts and both was quality players.

Yeh we all know NP likes to keep his cards close to his chest, and we never know much until things actually happen.

And I know the window isn't even open yet, guess I'm just impatient <laugh>

IMO we need, at least, a new LB, a decent ball-winning central midfielder, and a couple of pacy/tricky wingers, and a pacy striker would be nice too... So not too much then!

That's because for the first time in years we have a manager that isn't a few days into the job and a squad that requires tweaks rather then an overhaul.

We already have the nucleus of a very good squad

Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, King, James, Knockaert, Dyer, Marshall, Schlupp, Wood, Nugent

Theres the backbone of our team sorted already

We just need to find Wes Morgan a partner and replace Konch. Then its about adding depth and competition for places
 
I don't know if I prefer not being linked to anyone or being linked to everyone.

Both tedious in their own way.

Schmeichel, Morgan and James (maybe Knockaert) are the players we should build the team around. They're our best players IMO.

Add Chris Wood onto there. I know he suffered a lack of form towards the end of the season but we know what he can do. Schmeichel, Morgan, James, King, Knockaert and Wood can massive players for us for years to come.

Alot will depend on what type of Ben Marshall turns up next season. Theres is less expectation on him this summer so he might do better.
 
All this suggests there is a lot of financial sorting out to do..can you blame the Thai's ? they have provided all the tools in the box and have been short changed by a series of managers.. A major re think is under way, instigated by FFP.. a lot of self interested parties involved.... as always these days... its all about the money..the sport and supporters are a far off distant second and third...<ok>
