How much do you reckon Shaqiri would go for these days? Not that I reckon he'd move in January since they're in the KO phases of the Champions League though.

 

More attack orientated though from what we've seen. I think he is Cabaye's replacement. We need another ork in the Tiote mould for the horrible stuff.

 

Think he might be cheaper than most think, prob around the 10m mark. Saying that it could easily be 15m or more and it might have one up after the other night. Matters not because we wouldn't have a hope in hell! He'll be at one of Europes best by the time the Euros are done. I wouldn't be surprised if the deal is already done because they don't even bother linking him with people which suggests they know where he's going

 

He was very good I thought. I love it when a player has to go off because they have zero in the tank after running the studs off their boots. Lovely touch with the ball too. Him and Shaqiri ran the show.

 

Yeah, I'm with you on less than people would assume. I think 10-15 is a very good shout. He's certainly not gonna go for the type of money Goetze is hyped up to get. I think he's a great player though, sometimes just turns into a one man team. Other times he can look very raw though. He'll certainly not stay as Basle for too long.

Really don't rate Roux, trust me here, if we want a forward from France, we'd be much better off with Maiga or Giroud. They are much better and would cost roughly the same.

Roux certainly has talent, but he is so so raw. If you think Obertan is frustrating, just wait til you see Roux. The lad has moments of brilliance in him though, but yeah, he ain't ready to move clubs let alone league/country! Brest in L1 is defs the best place for him atm.

 

Well i saw him against St Etienne and he look pretty impressive, and just seen he made FIFA 12 team of the week. haha
Guess i shouldn't base him on one game, plus he's 22 i think. So like you said he's pretty raw still.
Still would love him at NUFC.

I basically thought about positions you need upgrading at. You badly need a CB as back up to saylor and colo. N'Koulou is a good young CB. You need a winger (Obertan is crap), so Stocker from Basel. Saw a bit of him last season, and he was pretty handy, until he got injured.

 

I think we're looking at him, as there's rumours that Theo is off to Juve. You'd have to outbid us, and Ashley doesn't seem to like spending large amounts of money on 1 player.
