Apparently today is the day we'll find out if Gervinho will be the new number 9 ???

With all fingers, toes and eyes crossed i hope he does sign today but with Gameiro reportedly wanting to sign for a CL team if Gervinho doesn't sign who will we get.

For one i hope we do not sign Cole or Ba from West Ham.

If Gervinho does sign i think it could be the start of good things for the Magpies (touch wood) and can see Jose signing a new contract a 1-2 other players come in (along with Cabaye).

Aye, I think if we sign Gervinho we'll be looking to go one of two ways.

All out pace with balls over the top of their back 4 for him to run on to, hoping that he'll score more chances if played as a striker OR have him playing on the right of a 3 man attack, much like he was playing at Lille.

Either way his pace is something we've lacked so badly all season!
 
I'd be more than happy with the lad and if he wants the number 9 give it to him. i'd like to see a front 3 of him(on the right) Ben Arfa(on the left) and someone down the middle
 
Jay Bothroyd !!!! please god no, we already have Shola and Best and he is the same level.

Defore might be ok but cant see it happening. maybe get that Pav from spurs tho
 
My theory was, Bothroyd is free, had his first England call up this year & one for the future.....but i've just seen that he's 28. If he hasn't made his mark by now, he's not likely too
 
At least you boys can go home and enjoy the sun after work and all weekend. Stuck out here in the Fog til Tuesday, and probably beyond if it doesn't Feck off.
