Fuke me you’ve gone back in history to reply to that - you bored or something?

That was quite excessive- you must have amazing willpower to stop like that , well doneI drank every day for three years straight, from 4pm to closing, 2006 to 2009. Fifteen pints of Amstel and a bottle of Smirnoff every day. Somehow I still functioned in a high pressure job with local government. My weight ballooned and my blood sugar was unreadable. And then my missus said the words that I dreaded: basically, it's the booze or me and the kids. I've never touched a drop since. Admittedly, I miss it awfully, but the alternative would have been much worse.
On a serious level, I am very pleased that you have come out of this the other side. I can imagine you see things in a different way and your health is in a much better shape. I used to knock back jugs of vodka & Red Bull like it was water. Lager never touched the sides. Forty ***s each night also.On a serious level, I am very pleased that you have come out of this the other side. I could not drink 15 pints a day, regardless of what Kojak might say.
On the subject of 15, some eat this in kebabs, some have this in fat ones, and some do this with deleting threads.
Yes but you saw the error of your ways and I’m sure you’ve made amends sinceI used to knock back jugs of vodka & Red Bull like it was water. Lager never touched the sides. Forty ***s each night also.
Regardless of all that, I always got up at 6am for work; my performance never dipped once. Thing is, I could afford to drink to excess with my high-end wages.
My biggest regret is the time I missed with the nippers. Instead of reading them bedtime stories, attending parents' evenings and watching school plays, I was propping up the bar at the Gilpins Bell, Edmonton. Shameful.
I'm more surprised that you survived Edmonton, ffs that is a shocking place.I used to knock back jugs of vodka & Red Bull like it was water. Lager never touched the sides. Forty ***s each night also.

Unlike you, avoiding a Wetherspoons.Yes but you saw the error of your ways and I’m sure you’ve made amends since![]()
I like good healthy grub and a decent pint - enough saidUnlike you, avoiding a Wetherspoons.
Okay Bob, I get that the food might be a bit shaky at times, but there is nothing wrong with the booze. Multiple options and at prices affordable to me after my bet has gone down on a Saturday.I like good healthy grub and a decent pint - enough said![]()
It's not the greatest place, but it had some of the best drinkers in London back in the day. The Gilps, the Boundary House at Ponders End, and the Anglers up at Wood Green were superb. All gone now.I'm more surprised that you survived Edmonton, ffs that is a shocking place.
We all make mistakes but you have come out the other side.
Without going too off topic, f*** that, you go one way and you end up in Tottenham, you go another way and you end up in Enfield, or stay where you are in EdmontonIt's not the greatest place, but it had some of the best drinkers in London back in the day. .
.I am now on the Bombay Sapphire gin.
Indoors I do not normally keep too many lagers here but Mrs Elfs keeps the gin out for special occasions. Needless to say Mrs Elfs is not too happy when guests arrive.
Anyway, whilst I am tapping away and hoping not to offend, I'd like to know what others think of a Gin n Tonic.

Didn’t think anyone drank Fosters anymore- disgusting stuff !Heineken are watering down the beer

Fosters down from 3.7% to 3.4%, not far off a 10 percent reduction.
I don't suppose the price will be coming down though...
I could knock back twenty pints of Fosters and not even slur a word after. It's water basically.Didn’t think anyone drank Fosters anymore- disgusting stuff !
