Since I've stumbled on here quite by chance :D

I brew my own. I'm a lager lout too although mostly a refined and cultured red wine drinker <laugh>

One of the blokes at work who has got back into brewing fetched me a juicy session IPA to try.
Not really into ales/beers but it was fantastic and probably my favourite now so I made 40 pints and will be doing it regularly now.

I left night shift early at 10pm last night and sent him a picture to wind him up <laugh>

I also made a chocolate stout and was surprised how much I liked that. Must be an age thing :D

Currently have 40 pints of Australian lager and 40 pints of golden ale to bottle :emoticon-0148-yes:

I brew up too but use barrels. For one thing you don't have all the hassle of washing and storing the bottles, but it's nice to pour a pint of draught beer. Just finished an expensive (60p a pint) barrel of American IPA, which was a bit **** and didn't clear, now started on a barrel of Wilko's cheapo IPA, 30p a pint, clear as a bell, much more like a good pub pint.

    Barrels or kegs ?
I've got a barrel but they mostly leak gas.
I mainly use 2ltr bottles to make it easier. Only 11 bottles to do then :D
I'm probably going to go down the keg route next year. Convert an old fridge into a kegerator.

I'd recommend the mangrove jacks craft series kits mate.
£19.95 from brew2bottle and I used 1.2kg liquid malt £5 for that juicy IPA. Its very nice.
Apparently the grapefruit IPA is an Elvis juice clone but I've not tried either.

The chocolate stout was the Wilko artisan collection. £16 and 1kg of extra dark spray malt. About £4, also chucked 500g of sugar in :D

The Cooper's and mangrove jacks regular kits make great lager etc for around £12, just ordered a Cooper's irish stout to try, along with a lager and another mangrove jacks juicy IPA.

I have mangrove jacks lager, pilsner and pale ale kits and a couple of 30 bottle wine kits to get on with but no rush as I've plenty of stock <cheers> <laugh>

OK, I'll give them a try next order I put in. I've found Munton's connoisseur are excellent, about £16-£17 per kit, 4.5% alcohol, just as good as the deLuxe kits which are about £5 dearer. I mostly order online, since all the homebrew shops in London have closed.
    Cheers <cheers>.
