Canada is brilliant and very diverse and I have lived well here. I have been fortunate to visit every province either on vacation, as a football player or when I was a coach with the Saskatchewan Soccer Association. On the prairie, our summers are sunny and hot and although winter can be long and bitterly cold (but not this year)' the sun is always shining. I couldn't stand the damp, dark and dreary winters of northern England or the west coast of Canada.

I love coming back to the UK but I visit Darlington and area where I moved aged 13 and where what's left of my family lives. I hope to return next year to explore Hull and the east riding. I'll hopefully come during the football season and catch a game.

Admiral in town have a few quality guest beers on draft. The Rampant Vicar was a fruity one.

Old Leghumper sounds an interesting one.

Went in Admiral and had a few pints of Doom and a few G&T's. Me and the mrs decided to go over to the Ebeneezer Morley, not been in since it was Chequers.
Large G&T please barman. Signs were good as he offered 4 different types of Gin. Plumped for Plymouth Gin.
Do you want ice in it?
Course i want ****ing ice in it, its a G&T. Pint of Tetley too please.

Can i have a slice of lemon in it please?
We avent got none, oh hang on theres some in the jug.
The dirty bastard went to a fridge pulled a jug filled with water out and at the bottom of the water there was a few pieces of cut up lemon. So he reaches into it with his hand, his ****ing hand, and grabs a piece and tries to drop it in the mrs' G&T!!!! Dirty bastard.
Luckily i put my hand over the glass before he had chance. <laugh>

That pub makes Admiral look like Harrys Bar

To be fair Ebbo's was ok. As you say a lot of old school drinkers in them both. A lot of faces i recognised from round town years ago, faces a bit redder and noses a bit purpler. I wanted to go in Moderation too but the mrs wouldnt.
